Daegon –– My experience was really good had some fun and got to compete against a lot of people and meet some new people.
It’s been a long time coming, but one of the Kansas City area’s top ranked 2024 OL prospects, Braden Hales, is finally starting to see his recruiting heat up.
A standout performer at the Midwest Showcase on Dec. 11 at Missouri Western, Hales is a two-time selection to TheFINALS All-America Showcase, an event he dominated last Memorial Day weekend at Liberty North High School.
He has been named the KC area’s top OL prospect by Six Star Football Scout Eric Pannell and is sure to be among the state’s top prospects when the Six Star 2024 rankings are updated later this spring.
A talented tackle prospect, Hales is a 6’5, 285-pound three sport athlete who earned all-satte honors last season for his work at left tackle. He drew his first NCAA Division I offer from Colorado State on Feb. 22 and additional offers from Lehigh, Air Force and Lindewnood.

☑️SHOWCASE EVENTS Six Star Football will be hosting the Oklahoma Showcase on April 2 in Broken Arrow, and the Nebraska Showcase on April 16 in Omaha, offering prospects an opportunity to be seen by coaches and Six Star scouts, compete against elite prospects and earn an invite to TheFINALS All-America Showcase.
Six Star Football — Tell people who haven’t seen you okay about your game, strengths as a player.
Braden – I’d describe myself as a big guy that can move well, but the most important part about my game is my technique. Since freshman year I’ve been working with an OL specific trainer and it has been a huge reason for my success. The Training has helped me develop my footwork and hand fighting, and now I’m able to use my strength and athleticism even more.
Six Star Football — Tell us about your high school squad.
Braden – My high school team is a group of guys who push each other to the limit. Every day we are pushing each other in the weight room, and having fun doing it. We have a lot of returning starters on offense, and some young studs on defense. Don’t sleep on Olathe North.
Six Star Football — Anyone in particular that you have looked up to or patterned your game after as a player?
Braden – – A player I’ve looked up to is Larry Allen. He is a mean blocker and super aggressive. Also, he inspired me to start lifting weights.
Six Star Football —What are some things you are focused on this off-season?
Braden – This offseason I have been focused on becoming a better athlete. So far I’ve lost about 30 pounds going from 310 to 280, but I’ve still gained strength while doing that. Also, I started wrestling this offseason and it was a big help.
Six Star Football — Tell us about your offers? What has the recruiting experience been like for you so far to this point?
Braden – My first was from Colorado State, and my second from Lindenwood. I got both of them after calls with the coaches. Since my first offer I’ve started talking to lots of new coaches, and I’m excited to go visit some schools this spring.
Six Star Football — Hobbies outside of football:
Braden – – Some of my hobbies are playing Madden, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. I also like to go to the pool.
Six Star Football —What was your experience like at the Six Star Showcase
Braden –– I had a good experience at the 6star showcase. The testing was ran well, and the drills we did were all really good. The only thing I didn’t love was that it took a while to do everything because there were so many people at the camp, but overall it was a great experience.

Maqel Campbell, 5-7, 152, RB, 2026, St. Mary’s
@ImKelshiesty
A very shifty player on the field for St. Mary’s out of the backfield, one of those speed threats looking to make a big name that can make some big plays, a player that is one of the risers on the St. Louis radar and one of those guys that can use his athletic frame for this power running also, may not be big but is very strong as a runner.

A very fast play maker and special teams guy also, young player on the rise that can make you miss and has the speed you like to see in the lineup to make the big plays happen and bust some big runs for the offense to make the team go, younger player on the rise to watch out for and one of the names from the Midwest Showcase in St. Joseph this past December to watch out for in the coming season.
Emmanuel Ellis, 5-5, 150, RB, 2026, Cardinal Ritter
@mightymanny40
One of those very athletic built players, you have to like Ellis for becoming one of the young rising stars in the coming years for the 2022 state champions at Cardinal Ritter, Ellis showed a lot of pure speed and was one of the names to know on the radar we have seen this Winter. Ellis may not be big in stature but we could see him being a big offensive speed slot and WR to watch for in the open field with separation and speed on the radar to watch out for.
Adam Gisler, 5-8, 160, RB, 2026, Platte County
@adamgisler1
A player that can get get out and make some runs to the outside, has the speed to break open and be a gainer and can also be a hard to bring down runner also. Gisler is 5-8, 160 and is one of those runners that can make some big runs and is a good see the field in front of him then bounce to the inside or outside for the best running lanes to make some big runs happen. A younger player on the rise that has some impressive speed and can turn up some big runs for the offense at Platte County.
Kalaun Grace, 5-9, 174, RB, 2026, SLUH@_kalaunnn

Has the speed and athletic skillset to be an offensive back and radar maker to know for 2023.

@kendalhammond33
One of the most talented running backs in the class of 2026 at the 6Star Football Winter Showcases, a freshman that got it done on the football field at South Shelby this past 2022 season. Hammond had a 12 game total of 1638 rushing yards with 17 touchdowns and had eight yards per carry average with 240 receiving yards and had three receiving touchdowns and averaged 17 yards per catch. Jaylen Mack, 155, RB, 2026, Liberty@jaylen_mack26
Mack was a very impressive looking athlete and a player that made the FINALS with his impressive outing at the Midwest Showcase in St. Joseph this past December, Mack had some of the top footwork at the event, very impressive fast feet and one of those guys that will be hard to handle on the football field this upcoming season, a very impressive player and athlete looking to make a big name this year and that will be one of the hot rising talents at running back to have on the radar.
Jacob Smith, 5-7, 150, RB, 2026, Parkway West
@JacobSmith2026
A very good athlete, Smith is a three sport athlete for Parkway West and a player that is a hard worker and dedicated player to his craft, looking to be a source of a lot of big runs in 2023 for the rushing attack at Parkway West. Smith can do a little bit of everything at a very high level, from footwork, to power, to making guys miss and being a in and out of the lanes movement back that can keep his feet moving and make the guys miss or power through tackles.
Jordan Taylor, 5-9, 172, RB,2026, SLUH
@Jaytay907
Taylor punched his ticket to the FINALS with a great showing at the 6Star Football Showcase in St. Louis this winter and this SLUH running back has shown that he is one of the top young names to know among running backs on the radar this season. One of those guys that can turn up the field and really turn on the speed in a big time way and has the ability to get north and south quickly. Taylor has another gear to his speed and game and some of the top open field acceleration that we have seen among the top STL backs to have on the hot talent radar for 2023.
A year ago, it was Arkansas’ No. 1 ranked prospect Kiandrea Barker who made waves at Six Star Football events as the standout took home the Futures MVP at TheFINALS — Six Star Football’s premier spring event.
Barker has since drawn numerous offers, including Florida State, Miami, Penn State, Ole Miss and Mississippi State among others.
This year, Cody Taylor, Arkansas’ No.1 ranked OL prospect in the 2026 class will be attending the Oklahoma Showcase looking to showcase his athleticism, dominant blocking skills and all around abilities that have already landed him numerous D1 offers. He has drawn offers already from Ole Miss, Kentucky, UNLV, Memphis, Toledo, New Mexico State and is only scratching the surface of what is headed his way in the upcoming years.
Six Star Football recently caught up with Taylor and asked him about his offseason and recent recruiting.
☑️SHOWCASE EVENTS Six Star Football will be hosting the Oklahoma Showcase on April 2 in Broken Arrow, offering prospects an opportunity to be seen by coaches and Six Star scouts, compete against elite prospects and earn an invite to TheFINALS All-America Showcase.
Six Star Football — Tell people who haven’t seen you okay about your game, strengths as a player.
Cody – For people who have not seen me, I am a left guard. Known for my strength and speed. I am also known for starting Varsity as a freshman for a 6A 10 time state champ school who traditionally does not start freshman at all. I am more of a pass pro guy than Arun game guy just due to our system but I do pull often. I would say I am just more proficient at pass pro currently. I am still young in terms of recruiting and need to improve a lot on my skill set.
Six Star Football — Tell us about your high school squad.
Cody – The squad at Greenwood is amazing. I moved here from Kansas City at the end of football season 2021. These guys accepted me with open arms and have been very gracious with helping me develop as a player and a freshman. My QB1, Kane Archer, is a guy I will be protecting the next three years and a large part of why I moved here in the first place. We played youth ball together on the Kansas City Outlaws 7th and 8th grade. Being able to practice with and against such well coached and highly talented teammates just makes me a better player overall, Iron sharpens iron for sure! I have developed so much in the short time I have been here and earned the starting spot on the varsity squad. The coaching is amazing, and there is a tradition of winning here that is engrained into you from a young age in Greenwood. Its a winning culture, they hold you accountable, its hard, but through that adversity we are able to be great teammates for each other which leads to success on and off the field!
Six Star Football — Anyone in particular that you have looked up to or patterned your game after as a player?
Cody – I have NFL favorites but Ive never tried to emulate any one player on the field, I’ve always just tried to be the best I could be in the moment for my team. As college recruiting picks up, I understand more and more the things coaches are looking for and I am starting to give more focus to those areas that I need to fix, clean up, and/or just build on. If I had to list some guys who I really like in the NFL, it would be guys like Jason Kelce, Quenton Nelson, Zack Martin, Andrew Whitworth, and Joel Bitonio.
Six Star Football —What are some things you are focused on this off-season?
Cody – This off season I am focused on getting faster, moving smoother, and hand placement. Traditionally in the off season, I am working on getting stronger and putting on weight. We run spring ball in May, then have 7v7 and team camps all through June. We have a conditioning program in late July after dead period that runs for 3 straight weeks so we bulk in the off season until then and lose the excess. By the time season is here, our conditioning is through the roof. Rarely do you see guys getting really tired and slowing down in-season.
Six Star Football — Tell us about your offers? What has the recruiting experience been like for you so far to this point?
Cody – The recruiting has been a very wild experience. You go from being a guy who wants to get noticed so bad to all of a sudden, through hudL highlight film, camps, or media write ups, getting a massive amount of attention. Its gratifying because its a testament to the work you’ve put in up to that point, but a little scary at the same time because you quickly realize how early it is in the process, how much work is ahead, how it kinda puts a target on you for camps. It’s taught me to just focus on what I can control right now and that’s just getting better everyday. It’s given me more of a reason to make academics my number 1 focus. Its opened my mind to things I don’t think I would be considering this early but because I have been blessed with offers, I have learned about NIL and how that will affect me both in college and once it passes in our state for HS students. Its forced me to look harder at what I want to major in, its forced me to set up a 3.5 year high school plan to graduate in December of my Senior year so I can early enroll into a program with the plan of graduating with a Masters and also getting acclimated to that teams offensive system, its also opened my heart to wanting to give back so I am talking with my counselors at school about different projects where we identify a need in our community and find a way to give back by filling that need through donations etc.
Ole Miss was my first offer on Dec 29th via the HC Lane Kiffin. I was told I would have gotten that offer a little earlier but with coaches moving on to other programs and the transfer portal, it took a little longer than expected. The Kentucky offer was a total surprise. It came from Coach Vince Marrow on Dec 31st. OL Coach Jeff Myers from Memphis came by my school and offered me in person on Jan 24th. Coach Kill at New Mexico State offered on Feb 22. On Feb 24th. I got an offer from Brad and Barry Odom at UNLV on Feb 26th. I got the Toledo offer on March 1st from Ricky Ciccone. All of these offers are just proof that I have the most amazing coaches and the most elite and outstanding teammates a guy could ask for. None of my offers or success would be possible without them!
