
NE SHOWCASE COVERAGE | Several rising prospects impress in Nebraska — We look at some of the impressive rising offensive prospects who made some noise at the Six Star Football NE Showcase on April 24 at Doane University in Crete, Neb.
Here, Six Star Football takes a look at several of the top players that have received invitations to The Finals All-America Showcase on Memorial Day Weekend at Liberty North High School in Kansas City.
Brayden Layman
, 5’6, 155, QB, 2025, Lee’s Summit (MO)

One of the Missouri standouts, this quick and athletic play making QB from Lee’s Summit is a player that has good footwork and is one of those athletes that can show some big arm strength, just a class of 2025 prospect, Layman is a QB that has shown some excellent touch on the ball and is one of those impressive class of ‘25 arms that is coming up to take some impressive notice of.
Tristan Magnuson

Magnuson is a tall and rangy athlete that impressed us from Platte County High School in Missouri, Magnuson is an athlete with some good hands and is a player that is a very good competitor that is not a guy that you can handle very easily with his route running skills and ability to use his speed to get behind the defense for big plays, will look to be a key go to WR and play maker this year for Platte County. He impressed at Doane with his willingness to play on both sides of the ball and compete.
Alexis Manzo, 175, RB, 2023, Missouri Valley (IA)

A very impressive looking athlete at the 6Star Football Showcase and a rusher that was impressive this past season for Missouri Valley High School in Iowa. Manzo had the best 40 yard dash time for any athlete at the 6Star Football Showcase in Nebraska with a laser time of 4.53. Manzo also turned in a top 10 mark in the vertical at the 6Star Football Showcase in Nebraska with a mark of 31.3 inches.
Jayden Potter

Potter is a player and one of the big man that will look to impress as a junior in the trenches in 2022 for Lincoln North Star, 6’6, 300 pounds, Potter is a big man that can use his size to be a be a guy that can keep guys from getting a good blitz or pressure going, 6-6, 300 pounds makes Potter one of the elite size prospects to know coming up in the ‘24 Nebraska O-Line class.

A back that has impressive and one of the more productive ground gainers to know in Nebraska football, Skorupa, a senior to be for Lincoln Pius X, is a guy that can use both power and speed, a nice combo back, 255 bench press for this 190 pounder, Cole is an athlete that can be a big all-purpose back, has good hands and footwork, would be a guy that could go well over 1,000 yards as a senior offensive weapon to watch for in the year ahead.

One of the elite looking quarterback prospects in the Nebraska class of ‘25, Van Dyke had a huge freshman season this past year for Skutt Catholic with 1,102 passing yards, 137.75 passing yards per game. 65% completion mark, 13 TDs, 281 rushing yards also as a QB that can run the football when he needs to and make some key extra yards happen as well as using his major power arm to rack up the big throws and plays deep down the field.

Bigger length and size, this Omaha Central WR is 6-3 and ready for a big final year for the purple and white in 2022. Can also play TE and OLB for Omaha Central, Wayne is a good mover on the field and a player that has a big upside for size and talent to watch out for, could be one of the top young rising stars on a Nebraska football field for sure.

Wobken, an electric back at Logan View in the 2024 class tied for seventh best broad jump mark at the 6Star Football Showcase in Nebraska, a mark of 8’9. One of the guys that can play at a very high level and has that non stop energy you love to have as a coach, two way standout at RB and LB, Wobken is one of the top looking play makers you will find in Nebraska. Wobken is also a bruiser of a lead blocker out of the backfield with some major power.
Chase Ziemer

Ziemer is a 6-0 WR from Bellevue East and a senior prospect to have on the radar, one of those talents that can be impressive in route running, excellent side line play maker but also has a toughness to go down the middle of the field and make a big time catch happen also. Has the speed to get behind the defense on a regular basis and is a key deep ball threat and play maker that should be a big time leader for Bellevue East, can also play some free safety as well.
