Six Star Football takes a look at several prospects still on the board

With the Feb. 3 signing day on the horizon and quickly approaching, Six Star Football takes a look at several talented running back prospects who remain uncommitted.

The list includes a host of players who currently hold offers and are still weighing their options

Will Angel, 6’3, 265, OL, 2021, Liberty North @WillAngel2021
Angel is a strong, hard-working player who is constantly working on his technique, his conditioning and overall strength. He has a great work ethic and he is an improved player overall. Angel has earned his fair share of honors including first team all conference, all district and all state for his work this last season. A tough player with a good upside. He currently holds offers from Iowa Westleyan, Mid-America Nazarene, Oklahoma Baptist, Morningside, William Penn, Benedictine, and Westleyan University. Also an intelligent player off the field who reports a 3.95 GPA and a 25 ACT score

Jack Bailey, 6’2, 270, OL, 2021, Grain Valley @jackbaileyGV
Bailey is a solid prospect from Grain Valley who shows great upper body strength and power. He has the ability to clear holes and stand his ground and can push opponents back quickly and then move on to the next pass rusher. He has a solid build and he isn’t maxed out yet physically, although he shows up well in the weight room. A solid player who is improving and he seems to get better each game he suits up for. He currently holds offers from Quincy, Graceland, Morningside, Benedictine, Baker, and Mid-America Nazarene. He also reports a 3.85 GPA

Trey Butcher, 6’2, 275, OL, 2021, Platte County
@butcher_trey
Another promising prospect who has the ability to see time as a tackle, guard and a center. He’s capable of pushing and forcing his way down the field and can pick up opponents and keep them out wide and out of position. He’s extremely physical and he knows how to use leverage and keep his hands in position. An aggressive and tough-minded player who has 11 offers at last report. Programs include Benedictine, Mount Marty, Mid-America Nazarene, William Penn, Lake Erie College, Quincy, William Jewell and University of St Thomas to name a few. He’s earned a host of honors over the years including a first team all district and all conference and second team all state. Butcher is a smart player on and off the field and he reports a 3.3 GPA.

Quentin Cosentino, 6’0, 285, OL, 2021, North Kansas City @Q_Cosentino70
A four-time all-conference, two-time all district offensive linemen who just picked up his first offer for Mid-America Nazarene. He has a nice combination of both lower and upper body strength. He’s good at using his weight to his advantage and can hold his own against taller and skilled pass rushers. He can open holes for the run game and shows the ability to make blocks down the field as well. A tough player who has been working hard and was able to make a splash with his style of play.

Elijah Hale, 6’4, 330, OL, 2021, St. Joe Benton @elihale2021
A big prospect with a big frame and a lot of power off the line. Hale is an underrated prospect who has a lot to offer. He has increased his overall size and conditioning from a season ago and looks to control the line and make powerful hits. He can stand up opponents and even turn them around and force them into the dirt. A hard-working prospect who has put in the time and work and has shown specific attention to the little things in his game to continue his growth. He shows versatility and can be seen on the defensive line as well. A physical, imposing prospect who reports a 700 squat.

Dylan Halterman, 6’4, 260, OL, 2021, Lee’s Summit West @Dilchbeast2487
Halterman is a tall and physical prospect who shows good technique and a well-balanced frame for his positions. He sees time at tackle and guard and has been working on his footwork, his overall speed and conditioning. He stands up opponents and takes away their arms and keeps them completely locked up on designed run plays. Also a solid player to have in one-on-one matchups on the edge. Halterman has received a lot of attention from a variety of programs and he currently holds offers from Benedictine and Peru State to go along with Culver Stockton and Butler CC. Also a standout student who reports a 3.6 GPA.

Andrew Humphrey, 6’3, 260, OL, 2021, Winnetonka @AndrewHump78
Humphrey is a born leader who has a high IQ and a mind for the game. He has good size for his position but can also see time on defense as well. He can get down the field and shows good technique and makes strong plays at center. He has a combination of size and upper body strength and can hold opponents back and even take them to the ground. An all conference player and an academic all state as well who reports a 4.0 GPA. He currently holds scholarships to William Penn and Clark University as well as a presidential scholarship to Cornell College.

Jeff Kounkel, 6’6, 305, OL, 2021, Lee’s Summit West @KounkelJeff78
A towering prospect who has shown a great deal of improvement and potential over the years. He’s a smart player both on and off the field and reports the 3.95 GPA and a 25 ACT. A player who has increased his fight and power off the line and has proven to be quite the intimidating factor at the tackle position. He shows good footwork as well and is a coachable prospect. Kounkel currently holds offers from Central Methodist, Northeastern College, Midland University, Mount Marty, Mid-American Nazarene, Culver’s Stockton and Peru State and he has received interest from a host of other programs as well.

Michael Larson, 6’5, 280, OL, 2021, Oak Park @LarsonOP77 3
A player was seen time as a tackle, defensive tackle and defensive end although he’s most comfortable on the offensive side of the ball. He has potential at his position and shows the ability to hold back edge rushers and keep them out of the pocket. He has great size for a tackle at 6’5, 280-pounds and shows some good instincts as well. He’s currently flying under the radar and he has a good frame and a lot of confidence and is quite strong and physical as well.
