
With the Feb. 3 signing day on the horizon and quickly approaching, Six Star Football takes a look at several talented running back prospects who remain uncommitted.
The list includes a host of players who currently hold offers and are still weighing their options.
Alex Baker, 6’3, 195, QB/ATH 2021, Carl Junction @Alex116Baker
An underrated passer in the state who has good size and agility and a strong arm. He shows good awareness at the position and can scan the field well and make big throws over the top. He looks to create with his feet but is also capable of scrambling and making throws across his body. He hits his receivers in stride and is a red zone threat. Baker completed 204 of his 362 passes his senior year and finished with 2,892 passing yards and 28 touchdowns. He has solid ball placement and can air things out with little effort. His footwork can be a little choppy at times but he shows a lot of tools to work with in college programs should definitely give him a closer look.
Cannon Cox, 6’0, 160, QB, 2021, Ozark @cannonc43
A drop back passer for Ozark who shows good touch and solid ball placement on the move. He has good speed and footwork and is able to find his place and work through his progressions well. Cox has some ability and can make plays with his feet but he prefers to air things out first and foremost. Also a solid defensive player as well who can track the ball and make plays and tackles. An aggressive and intriguing prospect who brings versatility to the field as well as mobility and timing.
Luke Fellers, 6’5, 200, QB, 2021, Blue Springs South @LukeFellers1
A dual-threat prospect who can showcase his speed and arm strength. He’s a multiple position athlete and one who can see time on both sides of the ball and perform at a high level. He’s quick on his feet and can capitalize on designed run plays but also is capable of scrambling and buying time for his receivers who are working to get open down the field. He has a good frame and good speed for his size. He’s earned several honors for his defensive play and shows promise as a QB as well. He sees the field and can make throws across his body and can also run over opponents as well.
Parker Frye, 6’1, 170, QB, 2021, Francis Howell Central @parkerfrye_16
A solid athlete who can see time on both sides of the ball and on special teams. Frye played only four games his senior year but was productive as a thrower and rusher. Frye has a big arm and can hit his receivers on long balls outside the numbers. He can scramble and move the chains with his legs and shows strength and power at the position. A tough player at the position. He completed 56 percent of his throws and finished with 578 passing yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions and an 88 rating. He rushed for 367 yards while averaging 4.4 yards per carry and had one rushing touchdown in each of his four games.
Anthony Hall, 6’4, 170, QB, 2021, Park Hill @a10h_
An underrated playmaker in the KC area who shows composure, good instincts and touch. He is an athletic player who has picked up offers from Graceland, MidAmerica Nazarene and Benedictine College and we feel he is a player who will continue to grow as a thrower. He shows great vision and is good at working through his progressions and finding the open receiver. He can move the chains with his feet, showing great athleticism and strong footwork. A multiple sport standout who has good leadership and a solid upside. A tall player who is also a standout in the classroom, reporting a 3.9 GPA and a 29 ACT score.
Conrad Hawley, 6’6, 205, QB, 2021, Ray-Pec @conradxhawley
Hawley is an elite prospect in the state who shows a great combination of size, strength and athleticism. An offensive player of the year for the state and a first team all-state in class 6. He has improved ball placement and shows the ability to make big throws down the field in a year where he threw for 2,722 yards and had 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He completed 164/267 of his throws and was able to find his receivers in stride. A confident thrower who can make all the throws both inside and outside the pocket. Hawley currently holds offers from Kansas, South Dakota, UT-Martin, Akron, UNI and Missouri State. He reports a 4.39 GPA and a 24 ACT.
Sam Heggemann, 6’3, 190, QB, 2021, Borgia @sam_heggemann
Heggemann is a good sized QB prospect who has the ability to make moves with his arm and his feet. He is a confident player who looks to catch defenses by surprise. He averaged 5.5 yards per rushing attempt and had eight rushing touchdowns in 571 rushing yards for the year. As a pastor he threw for 17 touchdowns and five interceptions and finished with a 54% completion rate and 1,333 yards and a 121.1 rating. An athletic player who shows toughness and versatility.Heggemann currently holds offers from Baker University and Missouri Southern State University. He also reports a 3.4 GPA.
Cole Keller, 6’5, 205, QB, 2021, Grain Valley @c3k_07
Keller is another underrated player who is flying under the radar in the recruiting world. He’s a big athlete with great size and natural athleticism and is good at stepping into his throws. He likes to hit his first target and get the ball out quickly but is also capable of working through his progressions and then scrambling to buy time or simply taking advantage of the gap and rushing for first downs and even touchdowns. Keller led his team to conference and district championships in a year where he threw for 1,308 passing yards and rushed for 1,232. He finished the year with 36 total touchdowns.
Jovan Satterwhite, 5’10, 185, QB, 2021, Winnetonka @jovansatterwh10
Satterwhite is an athletic prospect who shows speed, in-game quickness and the ability to hit his mark. An underrated thrower who has solid accuracy and a good upside given his athleticism and overall IQ and understanding for the game, his position and how to move and create on the fly. He reports a 4.7 to 40-yard dash and a 4.34 shuttle as well as a 275 bench, 465 squat and a 255 hang clean. He finished his final season with 1,748 and 21 passing touchdowns. He also rushed for 580 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns. Hee currently holds offers from Clarke, St. Norbert, Benedictine and Truman State.
Blake Seaton, 6’4, 215, QB, 2021, Liberty @blakeseaton18
A strong player with a solid arm and a tight spiral. Seaton is an underrated prospect who was able to capitalize as a thrower and with his legs in Liberty’s shortened season. a player who likes to get the ball out ahead of his receivers and can drop the ball in some tight situations. He can move the chains with his feet, but he is at his best in the pocket. He threw for 710 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions in seven games and had a 90.5 rating. He also rushed for 474 yards and had eight rushing touchdowns and average 7.4 yards per carry. He currently holds an offer from Graceland.
Gabe Serri, QB, 2021, St. Dominic @GabeSerri
A two-time all conference and all district performer who has the ability to make things happen with his arm. He is a strong thrower and has the ability to tuck the ball and create on his own if he needs to. He averaged 7.3 yards per carry and had five rushing touchdowns and 400 rushing yards. That said he’s a natural thrower who completed 57% of his throws and wound up with 2,182 yards, 22 touchdowns, six interceptions and a 111.4 rating. He has a great long ball and can connect outside the numbers extremely well. Serri currently holds offers from Lindenwood University and Benedictine College.
Jamen Smith, 5’11, 175, QB/ATH, 2021, Buffalo @jamensmith10
A multiple sport athlete who has the ability to make plays with his legs and his arm. He sees time on both sides of the ball and he really makes a statement defensively even though most of his honors and recognition has been for his dual threat play as a quarterback. An impressive player overall who can show up and impress wherever he’s placed, including special teams. He ended the year with 1,566 passing yards and 27 touchdowns and had 1,255 rushing yards in 22 touchdowns. He also had three return touchdowns as well and recorded 45 solo tackles and three interceptions and an impressive 79 total tackles for the year. A 4.0 GPA and 25 ACT score student who currently holds offers from Northeastern State, SBU, Evangel and Missouri S&T.
Cael Welker, 6’0,190, QB, 2021, Jackson @cwelks_2
An all around productive player who made a statement both as a leader and a thrower. He showed strong playmaking skills and elite ball placement his senior year and was able to capitalize greatly throughout the year through the air and with his legs. He set a tone for his team and was able to make things happen and find his receivers regardless of the adversity. He finished a year with 3,063 total yards and had 53 total touchdowns as he helped lead his team to a 14-0 record and a state championship. He completed 72% of his throws and had 2,511 passing yards with 38 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Welker is still an underrated player although he currently holds offers from Missouri Baptist and Southwest Baptist University.
Harrison Wilmsen, 6’7, 195, QB, 2021, Priory @harrisonwilms
Another underrated QB who also shows up on the hardwood. He’s an extremely tall prospect who has strong ball placement and the ability to find his skill players. A unicorn of sorts who has mobility and good balance and the ability to make something happen when a play breaks down. He recorded 1,372 and 20 touchdowns through only five games, completing 110 of 116 passes. He finished his career with a 19 and 9 record and he threw for over 6,000 yards and 68 touchdowns. An extremely productive prospect and one who has good arm strength and a solid IQ and leadership qualities. He continues to push himself in the weight room as he is determined to get a chance at the next level.
