Eric Loureiro | 6’3, 234 | LB/DE | 2024 | Colts Neck (NJ) | @EricLoureiro27
A very good looking edge pass rusher out of Colts Neck High School in New Jersey, senior radar maker that raised his profile at the big Cornell camp. Eric is 6-3, 234 pounds and one of the most tenacious defenders from the Cornell camp to impress us. The backer and DE prospect can really take over in games and had a very strong junior season, finishing off his nine game season with 57 total tackles, 37 solo, 13 TFLs, 7 sacks, 1 INT, 6 passes defensed, one fumble recovered and one fumble forced.
Brayden McClain | 5’9, 190 | LB/FB | 2024 | Sioux City North (IA) | @BraydenMcClain0
Iowa native and player out of the Midwest that impressed at the Cornell camp was Brayden McClain from Sioux City North High School, as a backer and back with physical toughness and a rugged style of play on the field, McClain is a powerful linebacker, reports a 315 pound bench press, and is one of those edge backers that can come up and really be an aggressive enforcer from the mid defense and be that guy that is the dog in the fight on every play you like to see out there getting it done.
After a great camp and talk with @JaredBackus1 , I am very excited to receive my 3rd Ivy League offer from Cornell University! @BigRed_Football @CUCoachArcher @CoachBhakta @MBAFootball @CSmithScout @Hunter_DeNote @Get__Recruited @Rbcoachdgraham @sbrock1424 @coachcoop_9 @IvyLeague pic.twitter.com/eGzUOqH048

Jake Moore | 6-3, 223 | LB | 2024 | Montgomery Bell Acad. (TN) | @JakeMoore2024
Moore was one of the players out of Tennessee that really impressed us from the Cornell camp, good size and athletic frame at 6-3, 223 pounds coming out of Montgomery Bell Academy. Jake impressed last season as a junior gem with 73 Tackles, 9 TFLs, 4 Sacks, 7 QB hurries for the State Finalists. One of the top physical edge players plus speed combo package athletes we have seen this entire offseason. He picked up his third Ivy League offer from Cornell following camp, adding to a list that includes Penn, Columbia and non-Ivy League school Davidson.

— Connor Phelps (@connorleephelps) July 17, 2023
Connor Phelps | 6-’2, 200 | LB | 2024 | Casady (OK) | @connorleephelps
Phelps has been one of the most impressive looking athletes we have had on our radar entering his senior year coming up and has really done a great job of putting his name out there more and more with colleges like Cornell. The Midwest standout from Casady High School in Oklahoma is a very athletic and top looking backer at 6-2, 200 that plays the game smart and uses a high football IQ to make plays all over the field be being a top play reader on the field. Has big time strength also and reports a 295 pound bench press. Also went to the Princeton camp as well this month.
Charlie Tack 6’1, 220 | LB/FB | 2024 | Out of Door Acad. (FL) | @charlie_tack
6-1, 220 Sarasota, Florida standout from Out of Door Academy, this backer and back was one of the top physical players from the Cornell camp and a guy that can really be a tough as nails player at 220 pounds. Tack is the all-time tackling leader already for Out of Door Academy and earned All-State, All-Conference and All-Area honors for his outstanding junior season in 2022. One of the better play readers we have seen this offseason and a player that can get up the field to make some huge plays happen.
Charlie Taylor | 6’3, 230 | LB | 2025 | St. Paul’s (NH) | @CharlieRTaylor3
A versatile defender who can see time as a LB and a DE. Taylor has great size, good speed and length and can track the ball and get to a spot and make a play on the ball. He has long strides, good power and he continues to work on his footwork, acceleration and overall strength training. A player to keep your eyes on as a prospect this season. He is a smart player (reports a 4.0 GPA) and has earned first team all state honors for LB in ‘22 and first team all state honors for DL in ‘21.
Last Saturday I was able to attend the @BigRed_Football camp! I enjoyed competing and working with great coaching. @JaredBackus1 @CUCoachArcher @CoachBhakta @CoachCNice @BlandenCoach pic.twitter.com/dAMs8yxcsZ
— James Trainer (@JamesTrainer_) July 18, 2023
James Trainer | 6’1, 205 | LB | 2025 | Montgomery Bell Acad. (TN) | @JamesTrainer_
Trainer grabbed our attention as one of the top speed backers from the Cornell camp, and will be looking to be a key junior this season coming up for the Tennessee power house program at Montgomery Bell Academy. James has also had some big camps both at Vandy and MIT, a high football IQ player on and off the football field, with his knowledge and play maker and athletic skills his resume is one to impress for the next level.
Corley Watson | 6’0, 215 | LB\TE | 2024 | Pinewood Preparatory School (SC) | @corley_watson
The linebacker and TE combo senior from South Carolina was one of the guys whose toughness and aggressive style of play impressed at the Cornell camp. Watson, 6-0, 215 pounds, is a player that earned All-State honors as a junior and is one of the radar making talents to watch for this upcoming season as a player that can flat out read and react among the tops we have seen. Good looking filler of the gaps and a smart play maker as well that is good at quickly seeing the play develop.
