Six Star Football takes a look at several senior WR prospects who stood out in STL.

WENTZVILLE, Mo. — Six Star Football held its Camp & Combine showcase event on Sunday at Heartland Park outside of St. Louis, drawing several talented prospects from across the region.

Here, we look at several of the day’s most talented senior wide receiver prospects.

.

Tristen Everard, 6’0, 162, WR, 2021, Blue Valley SW (Kan.) @EverardTristen
Power Ball: 35  Broad Jump: 8’8   Shuttle: 4.25  40-Yard Dash: 4.69

Everard is one of the top senior prospects in the state of Kansas among big time play making WRs and Everard had some very good numbers at the 6Star Football Combine also with a huge 35 power ball toss, an 8’8 broad jump, a 4.25 shuttle, and a 4.69 time in the 40 yard dash. In just seven games as  a senior Everard had 50 receptions for 670 yards, and scored 12 total TDs. One of the state’s top remaining WR prospects in the 2021 class, Everard has all the tools to be a next level performer. He has good speed, athleticism and is a consistent route runner who is seemingly always getting open. Holds an offer from Independence CC and has a lot of interest from several additional colleges. Should be a great next level get for sure at WR.

Devon Fields, 6’1, 155, WR, 2021, Marquette Catholic (Ill.) @1devonfields1
A very impressive athlete that can make big time plays for Marquette Catholic, one of those guys that has a nice 6-1 inch frame and really excels at making some very tough catches over defenders and against very aggressive defensive playing, Fields finds a way to win one big battle after another on passes up for grabs.  Does a nice job of being in the perfect spot to make a catch and then making the catch happen. Good speed after catch and a player that is very smooth in his playing style.  Can be a slippery WR that is very hard to maintain and play man to man with his speed and abilities to make the big time catches.

Aiden Jones, 5’11, 186, WR, 2021, Mascoutah (Ill.) @JonesOfficial03
Power Ball: 35 Broad Jump: 9’9.5  Shuttle: 4.32

Jones was  one of the most impressive WR performers at the 6Star Football Combine in St. Louis and had a 35 power ball toss and a 9’9.5 in the broad jump among his most impressive lines for the combine.  Jones is a senior play maker for Mascoutah (Ill.) that can really get up and has a 37 inch vertical, no doubt a high flyer and a guy that can make some big time catches over guys with his skills.  Racked up 24 receptions and had 530 yards as a junior in 2019 for Mascoutah. Was named a 1st Team All-Conference Receiver.  One of the more athletic play making WRs at the combine, Jones would be a great fit at the next level with his big time skills.

Justin Mitchell, 5’9, 171, WR, 2021, SM Northwest (Kan) @4justinmitchell
Power Ball: 30, Broad Jump: 8’4 Shuttle: 4.00, 40-Yard Dash:4.66

A multiple position athlete who is at his best with the ball in his hands. He had over 1,000 all-purpose yards and had 12 touchdowns in eight games. Mitchell is an athlete first, but he is comfortable in a lot of positions and in  alot of circumstances. He has intelligence and understands how to make an impact and how to fake out defenses and how to put himself in a position to get the most out of his skillset. An intelligent and underrated player despite holding offers from Dodge City, Dakota Wesleyan, Coffeyville, MNU, Peri State, Clarke University, McPherson and Baker University.

Zach Smith, 6’0, 170, WR, 2021, Marquette Catholic (Ill.) @Zachary2Smith
Smith is a senior and a very fine looking well rounded athlete for the impressive Marquette Catholic team from Illinois.  Zach is one of those go to type of WRs that can make big things happen when he is on the field.  We like his  skills and abilities to catch and create, can catch out of the backfield, in motion, or down the field, no question he is a master at weaving through traffic, and has impressive long strides as a runner that can outrun the defense as well. A very exciting play maker that can make something big out of a play that looks like nothing is going to happen.  A very impressive runner after the catch that can make big time gains on every touch of the football.

Landen Thomas, 5’10, 187, WR, 2021, Belleville East (Ill.) @Landen2x
Was great to have some of the top WR talent from Illinois in attendance at the 6Star Football Combine in St. Louis and no doubt Belleville East’s Landen Thomas is a senior that is a must see play making WR with speed and a nice set of hands as well.  Thomas also is a major talented in the Belleville East secondary unit and is a player that can really come up and close the ground in a hurry while be an excellent open field tackler and play maker.  May project higher as a sure tackling Defensive back at the next level.

Jordan Zahn, 6’1, 185, WR, 2021, Seaman (Kan.) @JordanZahn15
Power Ball: 24.5, Broad Jump: 7’6, Shuttle: 4.22, 40-Yard Dash:4.78

A smart player who is able to get open and capitalize on his opportunities. This year he had a lot of production when targeted with 10 receptions and 162 yards and two touchdowns. He was also a solid kickoff return option and he earned several honors for his wide receiver play as well.he recently picked up his first offer from Tabor College and he can break away and extend through the air and make diving catches. Also able to create some as a rusher and playmaker after the catch given his strength and physicality.
