EVENT COVERAGE | Showcase QBs heating up this season (2023)
Six Star Football Florida Showcase Class of 2023 attendees committed to Division I programs
With the upcoming season now underway, Six Star Football takes a look at several rising prospects who have committed to D1 programs since attending Six Star Football Florida Showcases.
Justin Coles
| 6’2, 190 | LB | 2023 | St Thomas Aquinas | @justin_coles9
Committed to Navy earlier this summer, Attended TheFINALS All-America Showcase on Memorial Day weekend after being selected at the Six Star Football Florida Showcase in Orlando in April. Coles no doubt was one of the players at the FINALS you could tell was grabbing a lot of looks and attention with his speed and some length at 6-2, Coles is a very fluid and excellent mover in space from the outside edge and looks to be a guy that is one of the top play making backers in the ‘23 class. Big time future ahead at Navy.
Keoni Denny
| 6’1, 215 | LB | 2023 | Sumner | @Keoni_Denny
Committed to North Carolina-Charlotte in late June. Denny attended the Six Star Football Florida Showcase in Orlando in April. No doubt one of the most physically imposing looking players at the Showcase last year, 6-1, 215 and a built strong and tough looking backer for Sumner, Denny could be a great steal for Charlotte and no doubt is a player that impressed us with both his size and ability to make plays all over the field while being a big time aggressive play maker in the middle.
Viley Nakkoun Jr | 6’1, 175 | QB | 2023 | Orlando Christian | @JRockkoutt
Committed to Rutgers and is a speed threat, QB that is a game changer, has the extra gear of speed and has a very impressive natural feel for the defense around him, a player that knows how to makes guys miss also. Nakkoun may be best known as a quick on the move thrower and a lefty, no doubt this guy can roll out and fire some good passes in there and you don’t see many left handed players that can make as many impressive down field tosses as Viley can do.
Matthew Primore | 6’2, 290 | OL | 2023 | Cypress Bay | @Matt_Prigmore66
Announced in July that he will walk on as a PWO at Florida Atlantic. Attended Six Star Football Florida Showcase in Memorial Day Weekend in 2021 at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale. Looking like an underrated big man talent that could see time at the next level with his powerful 6-2, 290 frame in the trenches. Will be looking to use that brute size in the trenches to be one of the keys to the running lanes this year for Cypress Bay.
Darrell Sweeting
| 6’1, 175 | ATH | 2023 | The Benjamin School | @SweetingDarrel
Committed to North Carolina-Charlotte. Sweeting attended the Six Star Football Florida Showcase in Memorial Day Weekend in 2021 at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale. Very impressive looking athlete that can make it happen on the field as one of the true looking elitis play makers and elite athletes you will see in the senior class. Sweeting is a impressive athlete and a big time game changer.
Jude Tinor
| 6’2, 240 | DE/DL | 2023 | Eau Galle | @JTinor53
Committed to Georgia State. Tinor attended the Six Star Football Florida Showcase in Memorial Day Weekend in 2021 at Westminster Academy in Fort Lauderdale. A riser to know and a player that looks like a great get for Georgia State, has length and some power at 6-2, 240, a player that is one of the more physical looking defensive end prospects out there and a player that can make the huge stops coming off edge edge or line.
Elija Walton
| 6’5, 216 | WR | 2023 | North Marion | @Elijawalton
Committed to Georgia Southern and was one of the wow looking athletes at the 6Star Football Showcase last year, at 6-5, 216 at playing WR you just don’t see guys that look as athletic and long and rangy as this big time looking North Marion big time athlete is. Walton is primed for a huge senior season and we expect him to have a very impressive year as one of the hardest men to cover in the Florida senior class both for size and athletic skill set.
Braxton Woodson
| 6’3, 195 | QB | 2023 | Lake Brantley | @BraxtonWoodson
A Navy commit that was a standout performer at the Six Star football RANKINGS ID Showcase in April and has since committed to Navy, choosing the program over numerous Division I offers. No doubt a great sized QB prospect from Lake Brantley in the Orlando area, 6-3, 195, Woodson has a good feel for the game and a good frame for the game. Plays very mature and poised football and is one of those cool under pressure seniors that has a good arm and is looking like a big time senior season is in order for 2022.
