FLORIDA SHOWCASE COVERAGE | Talented CBs coverage – We look at some of the impressive CBs talents to know who impressed at the annual Six Star Football Florida Showcase held on Jan. 29 at Somerset Canyons in Boynton Beach.
Ejavious Boswell, 5’10, 170, CB, 2023, Pahokee @ejavious
One of the most impressive looking athletes at the 6Star Football Showcase, this Pahokee standout two way RB and corner showed speed and agility that were very impressive and is a player that is a hot one coming into his senior season with the Demons. Boswell had a 31.1 inch vertical and a 9’3 mark in the broad jump as some very impressive numbers at the 6Star Football Showcase. Expect a huge impact senior season ahead for a major talent in the 2023 class.
Kalel Boyce, 5’6, 112, CB, 2024, Miramar @Freebxndzzk
A very talented play maker that was impressive at the 6Star Football Showcase, Boyce is a speed threat and a player that showed some wheels at the Showcase as well. Boyce is one of the young and promising looking play makers with some good speed, will look to factor into the mix of being a impact maker. Very promising speed play maker, one of the guys to keep an eye on with man to man coverage that has good footwork and is a player that is a very promising looking super sophomore prospect to know. Good looking athlete, speed is the name of his game.
Jamarion Davis, 6’0, 170, CB, 2023, Avon Park @jamariondavis8
Davis is one of the most impressive play readers out there, a very smart corner that can jump the routes and really does a nice job of reading the QBs eyes to make big time plays. Davis was a standout performer at the 6Star Football Showcase and a talented defensive back that has a big upside and will be looking for a big senior campaign in 2022. Good looking athlete and one of the risers to know in the 2023 class.
Michael Drillich, 5’10, 155, CB, 2023, Somerset Canyons @MichaelDrillic1
Drillich is a play maker that competed at one of the highest levels at the 6Star Football Showcase and is one of the guys that could be in for a big senior season ahead for Somerset Canyons. Drillich is a good looking prospect coming up at corner, a player at Somerset Canyons that will look to make a big impact from his corner spot, will look to be a guy that uses speed and play making skills along with being a strong play reader to be a force for their defense. Drillich, at 5-10, 155, will look to also bring some aggressive play to the secondary unit and be a guy looking to help shutdown the passing attack.
Chase Hanning, 6’3, 160, CB, 2023, Somerset Canyons @Chase_H17
Good looking athlete who came out and was one of the guys that was among standout performers in action at the 6Star Football Showcase, big frame at 6-3 could make him a key DB to know for Somerset Canyons in 2022. Hanning is a very big corner and can be very hard to complete a pass against at 6-3, 160 he is one of those ball hawking big men that can really be a force in the defensive backfield for Somerset Canyons. An impressive build player, Chase will look to use his big frame and speed to be a key impact maker in 2022 and be one of those defenders that will be looking to make the defense tough in 2022.
Tomas Jones, 5’10, 150, CB, 2023, Pedro Menendez @tomas_j2
Jones was a very impressive play maker and one of the class of 2023 DBs that we could see really turning some major heads in a big senior season ahead. Jones is an athlete and athletes go out and make big time plays, can be a two way play maker, speedy guy with a rangy speed and a knack for being able to track down players and make big impact plays and tackles in the open field, Jones is a burner and is a player that was one of the top frame bodies at the event, keep him on the hot prospect ‘23 class radar list for sure.
Milkail Lee, 5’9, 142, CB, 2024, Dwyer @Mikail_Lee4
Impressive speedy play maker that was all over the field at the 6Star Football Showcase, a good footwork play maker, big class of 2024 radar maker that we liked a lot that has the speed and athletic pure set of skills to be a good one in the Dwyer defensive backfield. Lee with two years left will be a player that should jump onto some radars with his speed and open field coverage skillset to take notice of.
Tavius Horne, Jr., 5’11, 155, CB, 2025, Atlantic @TaviusHorne
Horne turned in the best 40 yard dash time among corners at the 6Star Football Showcase clocking a 4.83 laser mark. Speed is there for Horne to be a huge future talent at Atlantic. Good looking athlete that is a natural at his position and was one of the top speed threats in action at the 6Star Football Showcase, good looking younger player, was just a freshman and was one of the hottest players at the event in the ‘25. Horne, Jr. is one of the up and coming play making corners that we are excited to see in more action, this 5-11, 155 speedy corner from Atlantic is a player that can use his athletic build and track speed to really shut the WR down and is a very good one on one play making young corner coming up. Horne, Jr. is a name to know and should be one of the emerging Eagle impact makers in the coming 2022 season. Good looking athlete and good looking speed with Horne being a hot ‘25 play maker.
Elijah Lewis, 5’6, 122, CB, 2024, Sebring
Lewis turned in some nice numbers at the 6Star Football Showcase with a 30.4 inch vertical, and a 9’3 broad jump, both some of the tops out there and a good showing by this Sebring class of ’24 DB prospect to know. Lewis is a very impressive looking speed guy that can be a threat but as a physical and rangy defensive back for Sebring along with also being a nice contributor on special teams as a fast return man that can hit the holes quickly and be off the the races for some huge returns for Sebring. Good weapon that is fast and versatile and should be one of the key juniors coming back on defense to take some major notice of for 2022.
Tamajh Mitchell, 5’7, 120, CB, 2026, Zarephath Academy @MitchellTamajh
Mitchell showed some of the top looking footwork at the 6Star Football Showcase, really one of the younger guys that showed some of the top potential at the Showcase, we like his movement, his instincts and his abilities to be a impact maker as a freshman for the upcoming 2022 season. Good speed and a player that keeps his head up and can see the field well in front of him and has a quick first step to make some very impressive plays happen as well.
Courtney Patterson, 5’10, 153, CB, 2025, Wildwood @21_locksup
Showed why he is already a big time prospect, just a ’25 class, Patterson had the second best vertical among corners with a 32.9 inch mark and his 9’8 broad jump mark, and his 4.85 40 yard dash time were also second bests for a corner at the event. Patterson could have been the top athlete in the 2025 class at the 6Star Football Showcase, no doubt a guy that is impressive and built like a college ready player as a freshman in highschool. Good looking freshman play maker from the Wildwood program, Patterson is a 5-10, 153 speedy athlete who can emerge as a superstar athlete coming up, was the only freshman defensive standout to play substantial time and made the most of it with 37 tackles in 10 games this season, Patterson also racked up an impressive looking four tackles for losses and averaged 3.7 tackles per game. Had 23 assisted tackles and 14 solo tackles. Big time looking fab freshman corner looking to be a major prospect very soon.
Ar’Travious Pearson, 5’8, 158, CB, 2025, Sebring @1missionD
One of the most aggressive play makers at the 6Star Football Showcase was this standout corner from Sebring, Pearson has a knack for reading a play and making a great play on the ball, also an impressive speed performer that is one of the better looking open field make a tackle defensive backs out there. Big things are ahead for a very impressive freshman from Sebring, fast and smart, Pearson has the makings of being a impressive recruit to know.
Jamarcus Pierre, 5’8, 180, CB, 2025, Deerfield Beach @JamarcusPierre9
A very gifted looking athlete at the 6Star Football Showcase, showed out and was a performer that has a quick first step and can really react with some of best in the secondary at the event, good looking natural play maker that is heady and aggressive. Pierre is a player that is coming up and could really be a major impact maker at Deerfield Beach, Pierre is one of the freshman that is one of the more athletic looking players to know and watch out for on the radar coming up at Deerfield Beach, a program always loaded with some of the most impressive play makers you will find. Pierre will look to be one of the next major talents at corner to know and is a player with a big upside and future ahead.
Joshua Rose, 6’2, 185, CB, 2022, Coral Springs @trackstarjoshCS
Rose posted the top broad jump mark among corners at 10’2 and has a good looking 31.1 inch vertical mark as well at the 6Star Football Showcase. Was one of the seniors at the 6Star Football Showcase that had impressive size at 6-2, one of the biggest corners out there and a player that also showed some of the top speed and footwork at the showcase, no doubt Rose should be a guy that grabs some next level looks and attention with a standout combo package of speed, size and athletic skills that could be a nice for for a college program to grab onto to. Rose impressed at the Showcase as a tall and fast secondary man to know.
Gavyn Smith, 5’6, 115, CB, 2026, Wilson
Had a 30.5 inch vertical at the Showcase and a 8’8 broad jump, among the top numbers for a 2026 player at the Showcase. Smith is one of the up and coming younger players that was impressive at the 6Star Football Showcase, Small but very quick and fast, one of the more explosive young athletes at corner that showed out. Smith has a lot of potential and is one of the names to know coming up in the freshman to be class for 2022 at Wilson. Lots of speed and athletic skills, Smith is a hot radar maker to know among corners that attended the Showcase.
Travis Thompson, 5’10, CB, 2024, Coconut Creek @travis12901853
A very impressive looking ‘24 corner at the 6Star Football Showcase, Thompson is a talented play maker that can really make some huge plays on the football and is a aggressive open field tackler and a player that is tough against the run. Impressive athlete with some nice closing speed and a riser in the 2024 class that should be a name to know among Florida juniors come 2022 for the program at Coconut Creek.
