The Southeast Florida area features several of the state’s top prospects at a variety of positions across the board. With off and on-campus recruiting shut down for the early stages of summer, Six Star Football is taking an inside look at the prospects college programs are looking at this offseason.
Here, Six Star Football takes a look at several DB/S/OLB prospects in the 2023 class in the Daytona & St. John’s, First Coast and North Central area to know.
Hunter Bullock, 5’11, 150, CB, 2023, Williston
A very impressive young play maker in the class of 2023, Bullock has made an impact on the field at corner and also has been a special teams standout that can chase the ball down and make the big plays. One of the better looking tacklers in the class of 2023 Bullock will look to be a key part of the Williston defense in the upcoming season. Hunter is a very fine looking player that will be good one in the coming seasons.
Sharif Denson, 5’10, 160, DB, 2023 , Bartram Trail @SharifDenson (pictured)
One of the big time elite play makers in the class of 2023 and could end up being if not already the best DB in the class of 2023. Denson is a player that can use elite speed to fly all over the field, a major ground cover guy that has that speed that amazes, is a great tackler with a lot of power, pop and explosiveness. A very quick footed and agile cover man that can battle and win time after time against his man with big time tight coverage and play making skills. Latest offers are from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Auburn, Penn State, Kansas, Oklahoma, Miami, Virginia Tech and Florida State just to name a few of his very long and impressive list.
Grayson Howard, 6’2, 185, OLB, 2023, Andrew Jackson @decaphobia
Howard is a very intense and tenacious DB that is making a big name for himself in a hurry and a guy that is climbing the Florida charts quickly for Florida best 23 prospects among DBs and backers. Racked up a very impressive first season of 55 tackles, 8 sacks and had 3 fumbles recoveries as a key part of the Andrew Jackson defensive unit. Watch out for this big time looking and impressive play maker on the rise. Also averaged 6.9 per carry when he was a RB on offense.
Jarvis Lee, 5’11, 150, CB, 2023, Clay @5_jarvisL
Lee is a good one and a key corner that has proven quickly he has what it takes to be considered one of the top looking class of 23 DB prospects in the Sunshine State. Lee is a player that shows he can go up and grab any of those passes a QB leaves up for to long, can’t have a lazy pass or a up for grabs ball against Lee or he will make you pay the price. Plays like a 6-3 DB with his ability to go up in a crowd and grab to balls that are left up.
Davaughn Patterson, 6’0, 180, FS, 2023, Ed White @Davaughnp5lyfe
Taking a look at a very special athlete and talent in the deep class of 2023, Ed White’s Davaughn Patterson is already 6-0 tall and is a key looked at FS in the up and coming 2023 class. A guy that is like a turnover machine, when he is near the football watch out, can pick it off, blow you up with a huge hit or be in the right place at the right time for tackle of an opportunity that will help his team to a big play. Love his skills and ability to be a natural play maker in the secondary unit.
Tommy Robinson, 5’6, 149, DB, 2023 , Palatka @t3klilrob_4
One of those very talented and athletic play makers that can make some great plays and use speed and athletic skills to be a force in the Palatka secondary unit. A good looking speedy athlete that has also shown he can be very tough to tackle as a special teams standout and kick return specialist that has that break away speed you like to see as a big difference maker. His speed and athletic ability are very impressive for sure and he is a guy to keep an eye on for 2020.
