Linebackers that play hungry in the class of ’22 – We look at some of the linebackers in the Florida class of 2022 that play hungry and aggressive, guys that really get after it and love to make the big hits and play very hard. Players like Adison Arnholt of Belen Jesuit. Gabriel Herrera of Monsignor Pace also plays very tough and Leon Hart is one of the true head turning heavy hitters for the Miami Edison club. Among the most impressive of a huge number of very talented class of ’22 backers to know.
Adison Arnholt, 6-0, 210, LB, 2022, Belen Jesuit @AdisonArnholt
A very solid 6-0, 210 and one of those backers that plays with a lot of emotion and energy on the field, a high motor and high energy play maker that has been very impressive. A player that is a patient play reader then covers the field well and makes good tackles on the outside running lanes. A guy that will be looking for a big senior season ahead and a player that is very tough and built rugged.
Gavin Diaz, 5-10, 150, LB, 2022, Westminster Christian @GavinDiaz15 ‘
Diaz is proof that you don’t have to be a huge linebacker to be a very intense one and a get after it player on the field. Pound for pound the 5-10, 150 Diaz plays a lot bigger than his frame and is a very hard nosed tackler that leaves it all on the football field. Diaz is one of those guys that will look to be a major factor for Westminster and is a player with one huge senior year left just to prove how good he can be.
Leon Hart, LB, 2022, Miami Edison @1Hart_jr
With his recent offers from Ole Miss, West Virginia, USC, Pitt, LSU and South Carolina since April, no doubt loads before that as well, the impressive Hart goes all out and could be the most exciting play making Linebacker in the Florida class of ’22 with his huge power and speed to make plays from anywhere on the football field. A very fine tackler who seals the gaps and holes very well and is one of the most impressive downhill playing LBs in the state, really gets after it and makes big time plays over and over against QBs and RBs in the backfield with his speed and extra gear. Super hot prospect in the FLA ’22 from Edison High.
Gabriel Herrera, 6-2, 220, LB, 2022, Monsignor Pace @305Gabriel95
One of the more impressive lean and mean looking LBs in the Miami area, Monsignor Pace’s Gabriel Herrera is a pure athlete and a 6-2, 220 pound let you have it play making hard hitter and must see gem in the Florida class of 2022. Herrera runs the 40 yard dash in a time of 4.9 , holds a 25 inch vertical, benches 245 and squats 395. One of the most physical LBs you will see, Herrera is a talented backer that fights off blocks very well and can make the big stops his teams needs from him from the heart of the Pace defensive unit.
Baylor Newsom, 6-2, 202, LB, 2022, Bishop Kenny @BaylorNewsom
One of the physically built players that impresses with some very powerful strength and a player that has proven his tremendous work ethic in the weight room as paid off with power and explosiveness in the middle of the Bishop Kenney defense. Prince Richard, 6-2, 210, ILB, 2022, North Miami Senior @LayEm0ut_pfazo
Richard, a hybrid inside linebacker and defensive end, Richard is a very lean but powerful backer that can make some big time plays. Really does a nice job of closing fast on the football and is one of those load up and knock you out type hitters with aggressive play and powerful upper body to drive through the tackles, Richard is a player that can make some huge things happen and is one of those players that can tackle with the best of them, a rangy inside man that is fast enough to cover a lot of plays on the outside edge as well.
Camilo Rollins, 6-0, 240, LB, 2022, Baker County @CamiloRollins40
A player that is 6-0, 240 pounds, one of the biggest LBs in the state of Florida and a very powerful and aggressive play maker as well that is pure physical and speed to make his big plays on the field. Rollins is a backer that ha proven he can use both power and speed equally well on the football field. Rollins, who runs a 4.7 in the 40 yard dash, and has a 350 pound bench, no doubt has a great frame and is both fast and powerful, that great LB combo that colleges love to see on the field.
Jaylen Wester, 6-1, 195, LB, 2022, Palmetto @JaylenWester3
One of those LBs that you have to love for his big time style of play as a very fast and down hill play making machine for Palmetto High School . Wester is one of those impressive middle men that can cover and really hit with some of the top backers in the Florida junior class. Wester is not limited to playing linebacker and can also be one of the most effective strong safeties out the for Palmetto. Holds a college offer: from FAU and holds a 40 yard dash time of 4.9. Wester is a clear D1 play maker and we expect his recruiting to get very busy very soon and is a player that can really make some huge things happen. A big time ’22 backer to make sure you check out.
Gregory Washington, 6-0, 220, LB, 2022, Baldwin Middle Senior @woggawashington
One of the most tenacious tackling machines in the state and a player that goes all out and can make the huge plays, racked up 89 solo tackles and had 44 assisted tackles in 2020 for the heart of the Baldwin Middle Senior High defensive unit. Washington is one of those backers that can load up and really be a heavy hitter and is always a turnover maker with his power, Washington is one of those players that can also cover the passing lanes very well and is one of the better multi faceted play makers in the middle of a Florida defensive unit.
