One of Florida’s most underrated 2025 prospects, Winter Park’s Gabriel Diaz is gearing up for a breakout senior season at QB after showing off his athleticism, versatility and all-around skill a year ago at Bishop Moore. Playing on a deep and talented BM squad, Diaz mostly played at WR where he caught 53 passes for 691 yards and seven TDs while rushing for 345 yards and four TDs while playing both WR and QB.
A standout student who reports a 4.1 GPA, Diaz brings leadership skills and the ability to make plays to the QB position. He is a dynamic runner with a live arm and the ability to get outside the pocket and make plays.
Six Star Football recently caught up with Diaz.

Six Star — Tell people who haven’t seen you play about your game, strengths as a player.
For someone who hasn’t seen me play football, if I had to break down my strengths, I strongly believe my biggest strength is my ability to lead. I feel it is very evident if you watch one of my games, the way the team looks to me when in need and always locked in when I give a speech. Another strength is the confidence I play with. I go out on the field and don’t care who I’m playing with, whether it’s a team of 5 stars or a team with no stars. I’m walking on the field with full confidence in my team.
Six Star — Tell us about your most recent season
Most recent recent I would summarize as a season that was a great step preparing for college. Putting a lot of hard work in for my team and trying to do anything I can to help us win or grow together. There is a lot still left on the table which is pushing me for an even bigger next year.
Six Star — Any college offers or interest?
No offers as of yet but have seen interest from Dartmouth, Wake Forest, and Florida State
Six Star — Anyone in particular that you have looked up to or patterned your game after as a player?
Honestly have looked up to and patterned guys like Lamar Jackson, Russel Wilson, Jalen Hirts, Kyler Murray. Been playing QB for most of my life so that’s why those guys but also recently as a WR players like Odell, Tyreek Hill. And away from football the leadership and work ethic of Steph Curry.
Six Star — What are some things you are focused on this off-season?
In the off season I’m dedicated to working back at QB first and everything else next. No matter what each part will get 100% of me.
Six Star —Are you playing 7v7 this offseason, if so who is your squad.
I played a game with Central florida Force and looking to see how far that goes. I like 7-7 but want to focus on getting better and align that with my goals.
Six Star —Do you have a trainer that you work with?
I have recently worked with Baylin Trujillo and look to continue that god willing. My Dad trains me in speed and agility and my brother also trains me with throwing and strength and conditioning.
