The Northwest area features several of the state’s top prospects at a variety of positions across the board. With the summer camp schedule heating up, Six Star Football is taking an inside look at the prospects college programs are looking at this offseason.
Here, Six Star Football takes a look at several of the top LB prospects in the 2021 class in the Big Bend and Panhandle areas.
Jeremiah Brown, 6’2, 221, MLB, 2021, Lincoln @Jeremiah_b_
Also a wrestling standout with power and pliability, Brown is an emerging LB who is starting to stack up college offers as he currently holds offers from South Alabama, Southern Mississippi, Toledo, Marshall, Troy and Western Carolina to name a few. Brown is great at sniffing out schemes and can get to the ball and take down the QB for a big loss. He has a strong, muscular frame at 6’2, 221-pounds and is great at targeting the ball on tackles and has the strength to rip the ball out of the ball carrier’s hands through the air on his way to the ground. An impressive stock riser who has a good upside and shows a lot of tools to work with.
Tabian Dale, 6’0, 220, MLB, 2021, Washington @DaleTabian
Dale plays big and makes big hits on the ball. An intelligent player who has good size at 6’0, 220-pounds, an increase in size and weight from a season ago. Dale recorded 122 total tackles last season, 71 solo and averaged an impressive 13.6 tackles per game. He leaves the ground to make tackles and can take ball carriers to the ground and drive them into the dirt. He has a strong and muscular frame, a low center of gravity and has great speed and ever improving footwork and escapability. Dale has been posting several workout sessions on social media which shows specific attention to his speed, decision making, footwork and overall conditioning. Dale reports a 3.2 GPA.
Walker Robinson, 5’11, 210, MLB, 2021, Fort Walton Beach @walkerobinson
A strong and muscular prospect at LB who can make extremely violent tackles look easy. He has great conditioning and shows inability to make tackles against any opponent. He can fight his way through blockers and slip through coverage and get to the quarterback and pressure him out of the pocket. He can also attack from behind and has the speed to catch up to a player and cover ground quickly. Robinson currently holds two Division One offers, one from Columbia and the other from Valparaiso University. Robinson excels in the classroom as well and has an impressive 4.2 GPA, 1190 SAT and 26 GPA.
Joshua Seabrooks, 6’1, 205, MLB, 2021, Leon @seabreezyera (pictured)
Also a wrestling standout in the 220 weight class, Seabrooks is an interesting athlete who shows up on both sides of the ball. He has good strength and strong hands and is aware of his surroundings and the quickest route to the ball. He can gain momentum as he goes and he can wrap up opponents at the line or in open space situations as he is a player who is difficult to get around when he’s locked in. He’s a tough-minded prospect who has strength, good footwork and a good upside.
Tabari Taylor, 6’2, 231, MLB, 2021, Escambia @Tabari_4
Taylor is an impressive linebacker who can create his own path and force his way through lineman and get to the ball. He has good speed and a lot of power and strength to his hits and has great size at 6’2, 231-pounds and can move opponents out of the way with one arm and pull down the quarterback or ball carrier with the other. Also a player covers passing play as well and can get to a receiver and make a tackle from behind or prevent them from completing the play along the sidelines. An all-around high-level player who has a great upside and terrific athleticism. At last report, Taylor held an offer from Georgia State.
