The future is very bright in Perkins for this young and talented QB, who is also a standout on the Demons baseball team as well. He is a dual threat QB with a lot of potions, making him a player that is tough to defend against for opposing defenses.
Austin has a crafty ability to read the defense, also shoots the gaps/holes well to earn extra yards and make the most out of plays. He is one of the hardest working kids on the team as well, also making him a team leader for the Demons. Very good athlete runs a 4.62 in the 40 yard dash. Mages is quick to credit his great offensive line, receivers, and running back for their great blocking. “I have a lot of great people helping me be my best,” states Austin.
Six Star —Most Influential Person
Austin —My dad for the foundation, Mom for great support, Coach Willams and Taylor for great daily instruction in football and life and Derek Rasmussen refining my mechanics, coverages and being a great roll model.
Six Star —What camps did you attend this summer and what did you improve upon
Austin —The camps I have attended have some of the best QB and Rec in the country. The best takeaway from each of them has been measuring myself against others. I sure have a lot way to grow but feel like I have the best around me to succeed.
Six Star —Biggest weight room accomplishments
Austin —My best weight room growth is my Power Clean. Last year I was around 215 through hard work I was able to increase to 265. I have big plans this off season to get better.
Six Star — Hardest working teammates
Austin —I don’t feel like I am the best person to judge my teammates. I do think we all work hard to win every game we can.
