Park Hill South 2019 safety CJ Canzoneri is looking forward to a big season after a strong sophomore season for the Panthers.
A 6’0, 160-pound safety, Canzoneri’ Park Hill squad put together a 10-2 season a year ago and he is looking forward to an even bigger role with the Panthers this season.
“I bring an up beat more intense and physical type of play at safety,” Canzoneri said. “To the team I push others to work harder to reach the next level of play.”
Canzoneri says he is looking forward to a week 3 contest against Park Hill. He says a year ago competing against the Panthers’ chief rival among his season’s highlights.
“I played a decent game but like always room to improve,” he said.
Canzoneri says he is working on improving at his safety position this offseason.
“I’m working too cover more ground and reacting on the ball faster,” Canzoneri said.
Canzoneri started playing football in first grade and played with the same program until high school. He says he enjoys watching Troy Polamalu play and had tried to pattern his game after the former USC star.
“I’ve always been a fan of him on and off the field and the intensity he brings to his team,” Canzoneri said.
Canzoneri does not currently hold any offers, but says he has received several letters and invites to various camps.
