Collin Bell
, 6-0, 220, DE/OLB, 2022, CBC
@thereallcbellHow would you describe your style of play at your position to those who have never seen you play before?
-
Collin – I would think I am more of an Edge Rusher with speed, Technique, and finesse. Which means I wouldn’t use my strength if I don’t have to. I really can play all the positions on the D-line, if its nose guard, Defensive tackle or Defensive end. I really just go where the coach tells me to go. I need to know how to play multiple positions to be able to go to the next level.
2019 stats-
Collin -I had 26 tackles and 1 sack. Wasn’t really a good season but I plan to work hard in the offseason to improve those stats and to ultimately win state.
Most Influential Person
Collin -My mother is the most influential person I know. She may not like feel like doing it but she will do it because she loves my sister and I. She teaches me things every day. If something is not right she will find a way and make it happen.
Most influential Coach
Collin – The most influential coach to me is My Defensive Line coach, Coach Vic. He is the most influential coach to me because it isn’t just football with him. He pushes you to be the best athlete and man you can be. When you leave CBC with an offer or not he wants you to become a better man. Coach Vic is a good mentor along with a good coach. If we are ever in a crisis Coach Vic is someone we would call.
Name a relative that’s also a great athlete if you have one
Collin -My Dad received a Scholarship to play baseball.
Tell us about your goals in the offseason as a player
Collin -My goals are to get stronger, faster, and more explosive. I also am going to multiple camps in the offseason. One camp/combine coming up is the World Bowl National Combine. I plan to put on more weight and use that to my advantage and not slow me down.
What has been your most memorable game and why
Collin – The most memorable game I had was the District Semifinals. That game was important to me because it was a growing point. It was one of those moments where you tell yourself “I will work harder so I won’t feel this feeling anymore”.
Pre Game Ritual -
Collin – I would pray, Usually I would ask God to Protect me from injuries, Thank him, and ask him to let my team and I do good, Either win or loss grow from the experience. Listen to my playlist and read my Verse on my Daily Bible app. Favorite song
