Hands on DL/OL Logan Venegas is a for sure hand full for those players who unfortunately have to line up across from this talented Elmore City Pernell junior.
“I like to shoot my hands and go down field hard. I’m not nice and I play to win, my goal is to plant the person to the ground in front of me,” says Venegas.
How was your season
Logan – The Season didn’t go as planned, we lacked a little confidence and always started slow but I’m proud of my family and how we ended. I feel 2018 was a great year for me, I only allowed 4 sacks and 5 tackles my whole year. Defensive game, went great. Didn’t get as many tackles but that’s not my job, I do my job to the best of ability and I believe I accomplished that no doubt. I believe I improved my outlook on the game, I wasn’t sure on how to read certain things like when someone was pulling or zoning or how they blocked. But also when to know what play was coming.
Most Influential Person
Logan- The most influential person has been my lineman coach, Willy Harrell. He has always pushed me to do my best and never let me beat myself up, he always made sure I got extra work in when I needed it and asked for it.
What camps did you attend and what did you take away from those
Logan – The summer camps I have attended have taught me that hard work isn’t just from practice, but what you do off the field. At home, after school, after practice, and anything extra. Make sure to hold each other accountable and fight for the person beside you if you’re not fighting for yourself. I have attended OBU, and USA.
What colleges are looking at you
Logan – I haven’t had a huge college interest yet, and no schools are showing huge interest yet. But I plan to get out there and be known soon enough and let them know that I plan to work and kick ass.
Most people don’t know that but before every game I”
Logan- have to listen to a classical song, like Frank Sinatra. It helps me relax and before it’s time to get pumped, don’t want to waste my energy yet.
Pre game ritual
Logan- Sit in my locker, listen to music and play the game in my head. Over, and over, and over again.
Favorite song
Logan- Lucky you by Eminem and Joyner Lucas
Favorite class:
Logan-Math
Biggest weight room accomplishment is
