@Da1NOnlyStevenStyle of play
Steven – My style of play I would say is very aggressive and being a linebacker it is definitely a good style to have. I am able to get through the line on a blitz before the line even stands up. I am also strong when it comes to sifting through blocks on plays like screens. Having this aggression also helps with my role on special teams getting through blockers on punt, punt block and kick block. While being aggressive is good I have to make sure I read and react to the play as well. Offenses are getting better and better and can be unpredictable so you have to know how to see the play lay out especially at the linebacker position. I would say overall I play like an athlete and can do anything that is needed to be a linebacker.
The most influential person
Steven in my football career has probably been my dad. He played all the way up to the collegiate level at sms and has taught me most everything I know about the game of football.
My most influential coach
Steven – was Kyle Nelson he was one coach that I knew I could talk to about anything going on regarding the team and me personally, we built a trust that a coach should have with his players.
Athletic Family member
Steven – My brother is another great athlete in my family being only an eight grader he has broken 3 track records and starts both ways on his football team. Spencer Ward is definitely an athlete to look out for in the future.
Offseason goals
Steven – My goal in the offseason like most other players is to get as strong and fast as possible. Personally for me is to get mentally prepared for the players I am going to be playing in the next season because I know that the toughest opponents are in the weight room training just like me.
My most memorable game
Steven – was the Willard game. No one expected us to win the odds were 6 votes to none. That game I went off though I had about 20 tackles and 70 yards on offense. We were down 7-0 at half but came out and scored second half and got a field goal. The score was 10-7 they were at the 30 and were going to tie up the game with a field goal with about a minute left we would’ve gone into overtime. Their kicker was fully capable of making it too. But I blocked the kick and recovered it and we won the game.
College Interests
Steven – The schools that are showing me the most interest are Arkansas state, Missouri, Western New Mexico, Princeton, and Illinois college. My personal interests are only d1 schools though I always keep the smaller schools in my thoughts though, but I believe I am fully capable of playing at the d1 level. What I mainly look for in a college is the academics they offer.
My pre game ritual
Steven- is going home if possible and taking a shower. I play some video games then it’s time to go back to the field. After I get back I get hype to our favorite songs with the team in the locker room while we are getting dressed. After that I always put on my lucky underwear and put my lucky socks on left foot first then right foot. After I get on all my gear I put in my ear buds turn on my chill playlist and lay on the locker room ground. I always go out early with the special teams and get everyone on the field hype trying to intimidate the other team. After we warm up we go back in the locker and say a team prayer. After that we come back out on the field and I say a prayer by myself, then it’s game time.
My favorite song
Steven – to listen to before a game has to be “Anti” by SOB X RBE. It gets me hype for the game.
My favorite NFL player right now
Steven – is Alvin Kamara.
My favorite NFL player as a kid
Steven – was Adrian Peterson.
My biggest weight room accomplishment
Steven – is being in the 900 club with a 265 bench a 405 squat and a 245 power clean. Only weighing 190. A teammate that could star at the next level
Steven -is Riley child’s. He is a quarterback and inside linebacker. He an all around good athlete and makes plays when plays are needed he also goes 100 percent every play he is definitely someone I love to play with and someone who deserves a shot at the next level.
My hardest working teammate
Steven – is Clayton Uber. Even though he is not the strongest, fastest, or biggest he doesn’t let that get in the way of his game. He is one of the best tacklers on our team and is the weight room every day of the off-season. He plays strong safety and dominates on the defense.
A player to keep an eye on
Steven – is Ramone Green. He plays running back and is only a freshman. He rotated in with our senior running back and had a lot of yards he has some great footwork and has great speed.
2019 Stats
