Several talented QB prospects show off arm and skill.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Several talented QB prospects impressed during workouts on Sunday for 5P/Pierre Desir 7v7 Football at Parkway North High School in St. Louis.

Anders is one of the rising names in Missouri football at Hannibal and one of the guys whose stock is rising more and more. Anders had a huge season of 25 passing TDs, 10 rushing touchdowns, and was on the mark at 64% on 93 of 154 passing. He had 1436 passing yards, and just 4 picks thrown with an 11-2 mark on the season at Hannibal and earned First Team All-Conference honors also. Waylon can throw in traffic, is a very poised QB and one of the more confident stand and deliver a big strike down the field kind of QBs you like to see, a very good executer of plays down the field and a big leader for Hannibal.

A very impressive looking junior QB prospect out of Parkway North, Boydston is 6-3, 175 and has an impressive looking QB frame. Boydston earned All-Conference and All-District honors this past season and was one of the standout players in the  Suburban Conference. Boydston was a very accurate QB with a 69% completion mark on 75 of 109 passing for 1018 yards and a QBR of 121 on the season. The lean and athletic QB has one of the top arms out there, a very smooth delivery and is a very smart leader on  the field at Parkway North.

Fort Zumwalt West 2024 QB John Buie III was among the top performing QB prospects at the Midwest Showcase on Dec. 3 at Missouri Western, impressing with a strong arm, athleticism and size at 6’4, 215-pounds. He reports ten offers, including Missouri Baptist, Culver-Stockton, Clarke, William Woods, Midland, Graceland, Westminster, Millikin, Missouri Valley and William Penn.

Quincy will be loaded again with some of the top looking play makers back and being seniors and leading the way will be this strong armer and big talent at QB, 6-0, 195 prospect Bradyn Little.  Its hard to have a more impressive looking resume that Little already has made for his game. Little is a 1st team 7A All-State QB, a News-Gazette’s All-Stater, a Western Big Six MVP, and a two time Western Big Six 1st team QB selection for Quincy.  Led Quincy to an 11-1 record and had huge numbers of 3,422 passing yards, 48 touchdowns, 45 passing touchdowns, went 230 for 321 for a 72% Completion mark and now has racked up a career total of 6544 passing yards as a star QB to know in Illinois football.

A very impressive looking QB prospect on the rise in the Missouri 2025 class is this Fort Zumwalt North QB Lucas Newcomb. Newcomb, who reports a 275 pound bench press also, is one of those tough and physical athletes at the QB position and a leader on the field that will be looking for his biggest season yet in 2024 as a QB and a leader of the team looking for a big final season under center at Fort Zumwalt North.

A very athletic looking junior stock riser and versatile offensive weapon that brings some impressive speed to the field to watch for. This Gateway Stem product is 6-1 and has been a key player, looking for more and more big games after showing out in his four games this past season with going 15/25 for an accurate season at QB with a 60% completion mark and racking up  404 yards, 8 TDS ,  and an impressive 178.8 QBR on the 2023 season.   He added some production at WR also with seven receptions for 110 yards and was a special teams speed threat with three returns for 100 yards and one touchdowns.

One of the more impressive looking QBs we have seen both in the offseason and during the 2023 season is Francis Howell’s Carson Topping, a QB that is cool under pressure, moves well in the pocket and see the field well to make the big plays happen and is a big play maker that is a top  leader. Topping is one of those guys that has a very good pocket presence and is one of the top running QBs we have seen for speed and getting down the field with the ball, a QB that you have to be aware of where he is at all times.
