CARTHAGE, Mo. — Six Star Football held its first ever Camp & Combine on Sunday in Carthage, Mo., drawing more than 300 athletes from Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.
Here, we take a look at several 2020 wide receivers who raised their profile at the event.
306 — Andy Beabout, 6’3, 285, OL, 2020, Choctaw @abeabout66
40 — 5.75 … Broad 6’11 … Short Shuttle 5.34 … Power Ball 26’0
For sure a good college prospect and at least D-II potential, Choctaw is starting to have a good history of producing college bound OL and next in line is Andy Beabout, a 6-3, 285 OL who clearly has the size, bulk and braun to be a next level talent and a player that the Yellowjackets will look to in anchoring a eager and athletic running game. Already taking some junior day visits to UCO and NW OK, expect several colleges to be excited about what the see from Beabout.
333 — Ethan Benson, 6’1, 275, OL/DL, 2020, Metro Christian @EthanB4169
40 — 5.50 … Broad 7’4 … Short Shuttle 4.78 … Power Ball 42’1
What an outstanding camp for the player moving up the recruiting boards in a hurry, and with great reason. The top Oklahoma OL in the power ball with a big time 42’1 and his 4.78 shuttle ranked second best among our OL this year. A very solid 7’4 broad jump, Benson packs an athletic frame of 275 pounds and stands 6-1. One can see why Metro Christian has such a talented offense and effective passing game, Asher Link is a stud, but Mr. Benson deserves a ton of credit for his pass blocking skills and ability to help his offensive unit. Benson should be among the best OL to look at for colleges who want a athletic/explosive lineman.
307 — Greg Billy, 6’5, 320, OL, 2020, Davis @gregbilly5
40 — 5.30 … Broad 6’5 … Short Shuttle 5.56 … Power Ball 33’9
Along with John Marshall’s Alex Millspaugh, Billy is the biggest OL to attend SixStar combine this season and at 6-5, 320 his size is a head turner. His 5.30 time in the 40 also was a good one for sure and tied him for third best among our Oklahoma OL this year. Billy has the size to get some next level attention and has some good skills along with good technique. He is a player that demands some next level looks from colleges. With his bulk and size he is really a mover on the offensive front and a player that can knock DL off the ball with ease.
308 — Cayson Bradley, 6’4, 280, OL, 2022, Ponca City @BadleyCayson
40 — 6.59 … Broad 5’6.5 … Short Shuttle 5.60 … Power Ball 28’2
You have to take notice when you see a freshman who already has reached 6-4, 280, already has the great gift of size early on in what looks to be a quite promising future for Ponca City. Has some things you can’t teach young players like his natural physical nature to play tough, already gets under pads well and drives his man off the ball, gets a good push off the football and is a player that has a lot of great potential.
255 — Clayton Brewer, 5’11, 195, OL, 2022, Collinsville @claytonbrewer11
40 — 5.59 … Broad 6’10 … Short Shuttle 5.41 … Power Ball 33’0
Part of a deep and talented 22 class, Brewer is one of the many OL that has shown talent and could be part of one of the better OL in Oklahoma in the coming years. We really like what the Cardinals have done up front and they always have some of the tougher and harder working lineman. We believe that Brewer is one of the many talented Cards in the 22 class that have coaches hopeful for a continued path to success.
311 — Caleb Carruth, 6’3, 275, OL, 2020, Minco @Calebcarruth53
40 — 6.09 … Broad 6’5.5 … Short Shuttle 5.12 … Power Ball 33’6
One reason Minco is one of the top teams in Oklahoma each and every year is their dominance along the front and how much brute power and size the show. Caleb Carruth has that mold that fits this team so well at 6-3, 275 and we think he is on one of the best OL in Oklahoma this season. Strength, versatility (two way standout) and power are Carruth’s key attributes and we really think his technique is getting better and better also. Minco is loaded once again this season and Carruth is one of their studs for sure.
312 — Christian Childers, 6’0, 260, OL, 2023, Owasso @Childers2023
40 — 5.30 … Broad 5’1 … Short Shuttle 6.12 … Power Ball 27’1
The only Oklahoma lineman from the ‘23 class to attend SixStar combine in 2019 was Owasso big man Christian Childers, already 6-0, 260. His 40 time of 5.30 tied him for third best time among our Oklahoma OL this year. The Rams has another talented and new gunslinger at QB this season and are looking for OL who are ready to step up and make their names known. Owasso has a lot of promising talent and we believe that Childers will be in the mix with his size and dedication to the game.
313 — Joshua Clay, 5’11, 220, OL/DL, 2022, Southmoore @joshuaclay03
40 — 5.66 … Broad 6’7 … Short Shuttle 4.97 … Power Ball 31’0
A starter already as a true freshman this past season Clay gets the job done and is a very sound blocker that uses his hands well and uses to solid technique. At 220 Clay makes the most of his footwork, getting into good position and uses good intelligence. We like the upside and on gameday Clay is the guy you want to have next to you on the line.
258 — Cooper Collins, 5’9, 223, OL/LB, 2021, Atoka @collins55cooper
40 — 5.90 … Broad 5’10.5 … Short Shuttle 5.19 … Power Ball 28’0
Atoka big man Cooper Collins is a player that will look to be one of his team leaders and we look for him to step in and be just that. A player that can get it done on both sides of the football and a baller that makes his team better when he steps onto the field.
260 — Callaway Crenshaw, 6’0, 215, OL/DL, 2020, Bishop McGuinness @ccrenshaw57
40 — 5.25 … Broad 6’8.5 … Short Shuttle 5.22 … Power Ball 27’10
#57 is a mover and his athletic ability and footwork make him a key focal point of the great running game for Bishop McGuinness. His 5.25 time in the 40 was second best among all Oklahoma OL attending our combine, clearly he can move well and has good footwork. Few lineman do as good of job as Crenshaw does getting under the DL’s pads, really gets a good push off the football and has the speed to make downfield blocks as well.
262 — Bret Curry, 6’3, 230, OL, 2022, Vinita @bretcurry3
40 — 5.50 … Broad 7’0 … Short Shuttle 5.12 … Power Ball 34’0
This Vinita club has some huge potential and many of those are on the offensive side of the football, as is big man Bret Curry, a class of 22 up and rising prospect that has a lot of things to take notice of. One thing is that his 6-3 frame is quality size and his 5.50 time was better than the majority of our Oklahoma OL. Vinita has some veteran talent in front of Curry in 2018 but his time has come and look for him to get noticed in the coming ‘19 campaign.
263 — Gavin Daniels, 6’3, 250, OL, 2021, Moore @Gavin_D56
40 — 5.47 … Broad 7’9 … Short Shuttle 4.88 … Power Ball 34’10
Top to bottom the Moore program has a lot of talent and athletic players lining up on both sides of the football and Daniels is one of those that has the ability and size and be a gamer. Now a junior no doubt Moore will be looking for him to be one of the many lineman they expect big things from. Gavin didn’t disappoint at SixStar with the third best short shuttle time among Oklahoma OL (4.88).
265 — Jake Freeny, 6’5, 240, OL, 2020, Stillwater @jake_freeny
40 — 5.59 … Broad 7’1 … Short Shuttle 5.03 … Power Ball 35’3
With some of the state’s best OL moving on to the next level, the next wave a young linemen’s time is now for Stillwater and Freeny is in the mix to prove himself among those next elite men. At 6-5 240 he has eye catching size and length. Had a top 10 powerball among our OKLA OL with a 35’3 mark and is a player that can use strength and moves well. Look for Freeny’s stock to rise even more with a productive senior campaign.
316 — Daryn Gattis, 6’4, 250, OL, 2021, Stillwater @GattisDaryn
40 — 5.66 … Broad 7’1 … Short Shuttle 5.37 … Power Ball 27’1
Gattis will team up with his veteran classmate and SixStar camper Jake Freeny to anchor a new look but still big bodied line for a talented offensive core at Stillwater. Gattis at 6-4, 250 is a big man who proves he can be physical and is one of those players that will be a key young player for a very talented and potent Stillwater offense.
317 — Nate Gamble, 6’0, 270, OL/DL, 2021, Enid @NateGamble3
40 — 6.22 … Broad 6’0 … Short Shuttle 5.30 … Power Ball 32’0
Gamble already has that look of being a big time player at 6-0, 270 looks the part of being a future star on a very good Enid line. Gamble is only a junior and will look to really make everyone take notice with more time this season and experience under his belt. Can pull well and also uses his hands well to get under defenders pads.
270 — Justin Hitchcock, 6’1, 220, OL, 2021, Tahlequah @Jhitch54
40 — 5.34 … Broad 7’0 … Short Shuttle 4.97 … Power Ball 32’1
Young but very talented, Hitchcock has some good footwork and moves well. On a team that can throw or run, Hitchcock could be one of the key elements and junior players that will be asked to step in and be a leader. His 5.34 time in the 40 ranked fifth best among our Oklahoma OL at the 6Star Combine. Also had a good looking shuttle of 4.97.
318 — Alex Hodges, 5’8, 252, OL, 2022, Ponca City @Alexhodges08
40 — 6.32 … Broad 5’0 … Short Shuttle 5.53 … Power Ball 23’0
Part of a talented core of 22 class players from Ponca City that attended 6Star Combine, Hodges has some potential to be a player of significance on a team that has some nice young players and he will look to put his name right there in the mix of their future OL core players.
319 — Aidan Howery, 6’3, 300, OL, 2021, Minco @howryaidan65
40 — 5.70 … Broad 6’9 … Short Shuttle 5.72 … Power Ball 31’7
One of the best linemen in the state and possible the best in the 21 class, Howery is a 6-3, 300 pound talent that can use his incredible combination of size and strength to dominate the offenses. Micno is loaded and Howery is at the top of our list among their great players. Howery is big tough, physical and strong not to mention a player that takes good angles and technique on his blocks. Howery is a special talent and a player that should be getting some nice college attention as a junior.
320 — Braden Kirkland, 6’2, 280, OL/DL, 2022, Shawnee @Braden_kirkland
40 — 6’65 … Broad 6’0 … Short Shuttle 5.60 … Power Ball 30’2
Just a freshman this past season, Kirkland is 6-2, 280 pound talent for the Wolves and we like him as a key lineman in the 22 class. Does show some good power off the snap of the football and is a player that can mix it up well. One of the most aggressive and physical lineman you will find.
273 — Perry Lewis, 6’0, 270, OL/DL, 2020, Millwood @perrylewis_56
40 — 5.53 … Broad 6’6.5 … Short Shuttle 4.91 … Power Ball 38’8
Take notice, Lewis is a very athletic 6-0, 270 big man and will be a huge part of the Millwood push up front in 2019. Has some huge potential and talent, Lewis was in the top five in two events for Oklahoma OL, his 38.8 powerball put him third among OK OL and his 4.91 shuttle placed him fourth among OK big man at 6Star. You don’t find Lewis kind of speed and power both packed into the same player very often. Watch out we think this big man will be a prime college prospect in the coming years.
321 — Luke Maier, 6’3, 250, OL/DE, 2021, NOAH @lukemaier52
40 — 5.80 … Broad 6’5 … Short Shuttle 5.35 … Power Ball 30’7
Luke Maier has solid size at 6-3, 250 and is a hard nosed and tough playing big man for NOAH, also one of the players that we look to get some college looks over the next two big seasons for him. Maier knows how to get to the right spot on the field on both sides of the football, does a fine job of getting to the extra block and is a DE that fights off would be blockers to make key stops for NOAH.
341 — Jeremiah Major, 6’3, 310, OL, 2021, Millwood @Jmajor53
40 — 5.78 … Broad 6’7.5 … Short Shuttle 5.90 … Power Ball 39’9
Major is a major talent without a doubt, and with Perry Lewis Millwood has two of the more athletic big men in Oklahoma football this season. Jeremiah already has next level size at 6-3, 310 but that’s not where it stops, Major also is powerful and can be explosive as well, posting the second best powerball number of any OK OL at 6Star with a 39’9. With his pure size and power Major has a great future ahead of him.
323 — Blake Miillspaugh, 6’5, 355, OL, 2021, John Marshall @BlakeMillspaugh
40 — 5.07 … Broad 6’1 … Short Shuttle 5.97 … Power Ball 28’4
Among the most dominant big men in Oklahoma the junior to be has all the tools that colleges are looking for, he checks box after box on that next level list. The 6-5, 355 Millspaugh packs a huge frame of not only size but quality skill and power, Despite being the biggest OL at 6Star Millspaugh had the best 40 time among Oklahoma OL this year with a 5.07 mark, quite impressive for the big man who colleges should be lining up to take a closer look at.
276 — Jordan Overson, 6’5, 245, OL, 2020, Lincoln Christian @oversonjordan
40 — 5.37 … Broad 7’4 … Short Shuttle 5.00 … Power Ball 33’2
When we look at Overson its hard to see many OL that could have a bigger upside and more potential, we see the 6-5 245 lineman as a player that has the lean yet athletic frame, next level blocker, good playing speed and is a smart and physical talent that has that long frame colleges really take notice of. His 5.37 time in the 40 was sixth best among OK OL at 6Star and no doubt his footwork is a key to his success. We think he has some of the biggest upside of any of our OL that attended.
324 — Jeffrey Paddyaker, 6’2, 280, OL/DL, 2022, Cache @JPaddyaker
40 — 5.41 … Broad 7’1 … Short Shuttle 5.22 … Power Ball 36’0
The 6-2, 280 Paddyaker is one of the 22 kids we think you will be hearing alot from over the next three seasons. Great size already, Jeffrey already posted the fifth best power ball mark among Oklahoma OL with a 36’0. His is strong and has some good movement off the ball and snap. Can get to the next level in a hurry and is a player that has the power to drive his man off the ball well. Size and strength, Paddyaker is a player to keep an eye on.
325 — Isaiah Saldivar, 5’10, 232, OL, 2022, Collinsville @isaiahsaldivar5
40 — 6.07 … Broad 6’1 … Short Shuttle 5.34 … Power Ball 27’0
Saldivar is part of a talented 22 group that attended 6Star and among the OL that we think has a good future for the Cards that have a lot of good looking players. Saldivar will look to throw his name in the mix of things along a Cardinals line that will have some spots up for grabs in 2020.
326 — Rody Schneider, 6’4, 285, OL, 2020, Minco @rodyschneider1
40 — 5.97 … Broad 6’10 … Short Shuttle 5.69 … Power Ball 31’2
Minco has the OL size of a D-II college football team and Schneider could be the gem of the entire class. We love his pure mean streak and toughness, plays hard and physical and his 6-4, 285 frame make him a big man to be reckoned with. Big and tough Schneider is a player that really does a nice job moving his man off the football and making the big holes for his men in the backfield.
327 — Kaleb Settle, 6’0, 280, OL/DL, 2022, Ponca City @NeverSettle
40 — 5.87 … Broad 7’1 … Short Shuttle 5.25 … Power Ball 28’1
Ponca City could have some of the biggest overall young OL in the state with at least two men 280+ and Settle is one of those diamond in the rough lineman that has all the size and we think he also has some very good qualities that should make him a player that will have a good career. Keep an eye on this big man, he is a nice combination of size and power.
322 — Kobe Sixkiller, 6’2, 260, OL, 2020, Jay @_kobe_6killer_
40 — 5.78 … Broad 7’9.5… Short Shuttle 4.94 … Power Ball 32’3
Sixkiller is a lineman that we think has all the skills to be in the top 10 ranking for the state and maybe top 5. Kobe showed out with a shuttle run of 4.94 which ranked fifth best among Oklahoma OL. Coaches and opponents talk very highly of this big man and we think he is one of the more athletic lineman in the state. We think Sixkiller is one of the premier OL prospects in the ’20 class for Oklahoma.
283 — Thomas Tucker, 6’0, 233, OL/DE, 2021, Mustang @Tommy17198905
40 — 5.50 … Broad 6’11.5 … Short Shuttle 5.12 … Power Ball 37’0
A pure athlete and two way baller at OL/DE, Mustang’s Thomas Tucker posted the fourth best powerball number among Oklahoma OL with a 37’0. Tucker has some tools that we think could really separate him from the pack, and being a junior this upcoming season we look for him to have ample opportunity to prove himself and just how good he is.
284 — Colin Tyler, 6’1, 234, OL, 2022, Sapulpa @colinty57028859
40 — 5.29 … Broad 6’4 … Short Shuttle 5.28 … Power Ball 32’9
A 22 class of studs at Sapulpa, Tyler is among the best and a lineman that has three seasons ahead of him to anchor a solid running attack. Tyler will use his 6-1 frame to his advantage and is a player that gets some good leverage on blocks. Tyler is a talent on a young and good 22 class that we will look forward to seeing just how good they become.
295 — Dylan Ward, 6’2, 245, OL/DE, 2020, Catoosa @dylan_dward
40 — 5.41 … Broad 7’2.5 … Short Shuttle 4.75 … Power Ball 31’4
A very solid frame at 6-2, 245, the two-way standout for Catoosa is a good athlete who impressed those who saw his shuttle time of 4.75, tops among the entire field of Oklahoma OL attending 6Star. Ward is one of the best and making the next level blocks because of his very good footwork and movement on the line. A lot of talent, Ward should have a great senior season and be a player colleges take notice of.
