ST. LOUIS — The Six Star Football 2021 St. Louis Showcase featured several talented rising class of 2022 DL prospects as several players took their game to new heights and showed off their all-around skills in both the Six Star Football combine and showcase events.

Payden Allen, 6-3, 238, DL, 2022, North County @Payden Allen2022
No doubt one of the top big men with a 28.9 inch vertical at the 6Star Football STL Showcase and a big time 106.5 broad jump mark. Allen was very impressive and for sure is one of the top looking senior to be DL that we liked a lot at the 6Star Football Showcase, no doubt the 6-3 long and impressive 238 pounder that has that toughness also is a player that we expect some huge things from in his final season in 2021. The first team All-Conference and All-District pick is built like a mack truck and brings the heavy hitting to the North County DL.
Ryan Capps, 6-2, 235, DL, 2022, Louisiana @Ryan34capps
Capps is an under-rated small school prospect who showed off a 28.9 inch vertical and a impressive 93.5 in the broad jump at the 6Star Football STL Showcase. Despite playing for a program that doesn’t get a lot of recruiting hype, Capps is a man on a mission entering his senior season and a big one at that, Capps is a player that can chase you down and make the pay the price, getting a lot of college interest among those Central Missouri is a great program that has been in contact with the Louisiana big man and no doubt we like Capps non stop motor and energy on the field, a big timer and a player that is in for a monster senior year.
Kenneth Cargill, 6-5, DL, 2022, Lafayette @KennethCargill3
One of the bigger prospects at the 2021 St. Louis Showcase, Cargill showed off a 23.7 inch vertical and a 5.15 in the 40 yard dash, Cargill recorded a verified 6’5 height and was one of the DL in the class of 2022 that we were very impressed by and his frame is an excellent looking magnet for next level colleges looking for good big men on the DL for the next recruits. Cargill, a player that can be very rangy and swallow runners up with his long arms and frame,. Earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors in 2020 and we expect a huge senior year for the big man in 2021, great size.
Benjamin Darough, 6-0, 225, DL, 2022, O’Fallon Township (IL) @BDarough
One of the most impressive well rounded athletes at the 6Star Football STL Showcase, Darough racked up a big time 24.9 inch vertical among big man and blazed to a 5.15 in the 40 yard dash, a good looking mark among DL at the event. Impressive Illinois talent for sure, 225 pounds and a player that can go all out and make some huge plays on the field, Darough is a player that can explode off the snap and can live in the opponents backfield, no doubt a player that is excellent off the snap and a tenacious defender that is a good one.
Teviar Fields, 6-2, 280, DL, 2022, Fort Zumwalt East @TeviarFields
Love the size and power up front from this class of 2022 big man from Fort Zumwalt East, Fields at 6-2, 280 loves to use good leverage and overpower smaller guys, a player on the verge of being a very good one for the next level, Fields will look to prove his size and power is just too much to handle in 2021, a player that has the build now will look to turn some big time heads in 2021.
Robert Frank, 6-3.5, 235, DL, 2022, Seckman @RobertF34749296
Frank, a 6-3.5, 235 DL out of Seckman High School, is a player that is one to keep an eye on in the senior class in Missouri. Frank can use toughness and a relentless work ethic to become one of the top DL in Missouri as he looks to use some good speed off the line and his frame as key advantages and is a player that has unlimited potential to be as good as he wants to be. Keep an eye on Frank in the upcoming 2021 season.
Luke Gaffney, 6-3, 237, DL, 2022, Linn-Mar (IA) @lgaffney6070
No doubt Gaffney is a huge talent from Iowa and the senior to be racked up a good looking 30.1 inch vertical at the 6Star Football STL Showcase, Gaffney was one of the Iowa natives that was very impressive and is a player in for one big time final year at Linn-Mar. Gaffney showed excellent quickness off the edge, had good hands and was very quick off the snap, relentless worker with some of the top potential among all of the DL at the event, no doubt a player that should be one of the hottest class of 2022 DL in Iowa this upcoming season.
Dylan Keogh, 6’2, 240, DL/DE, 2022, Cuba @DYLAN8780695165
Keogh is an underrated and intelligent prospect who has a good frame and improved physicality from a season ago. He’s a timely player who has a great IQ for the game and an ability to showcase strength in a variety of situations. A muscular prospect who has earned all-state honors and multiple first team all district honors as well. Last season he recorded 31 tackles for loss and had 78 tackles for the year in a year where he was averaging 7.8 tackles per game. He also had 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles with one fumble recovery and four passes deflected as well. No doubt his 27.7 inch vertical was among the most impressive for DL along with a nice looking 5.15 in the 40 yard dash.
Jerome Logan, 6’2, 300, DL/DE, 2022, CBC @jeromeloganjr
A player to keep your eyes on who has shown a lot of growth this offseason. He can see time on both sides of the ball but is very good at finding holes and making his way to the backfield. He is good at stopping the run and playing physical and looks to use his leverage and speed and overall IQ to his advantage. A tough, hard-nosed player who pushes himself and looks to fight through blockers and make plays wherever he can. He gains momentum and hits hard and shows good upper body strength as well.
John Mack, 5-11, 235, DL, 2022, Kirkwood @John_Mack_89
Kirkwood will look to stack their defensive front with a load of talent in 2021, a player that will be key to their defensive pressure and attacking defense will have to be 2022 standout John Mack, a 5-11, 235 pounder that will look to out muscle the offense and bring major havoc as a senior in 2021.
Javan McClendon, 5-10, 215, DL, 2022, Hazelwood East @Jaayy55
McClendon recorded a 27 inch vertical for the impressive Hazelwood East athlete and 92 broad with a 5.12 in the 40 for a very impressive big man entering his senior year. McClendon will look to continue his dominant ways on the outside edge for the Hazelwood East defense, McClendon is a guy that can avoid blocks well and moves his feet well, can be that relentless pass rusher off the edge that East will look to, to be a major force and be the QBs worst nightmare in 2021. Big time things ahead for McClendon.
DeMarco Moore, 6-0, 250, DL, 2022, Lift for Life @NEXTERA77
Moore is a good looking big man at 6-0, 250 pounds from Lift for Life, recorded a 21.8 inch vertical and a 5.34 in the 40 yard dash at the 6Star Football STL Showcase. Moore is a player that has a lot of potential for Lift for Life, 250 pounds and a guy that will look to mix it up and get tough against blockers as a big man that will play a major senior leadership role for Lift for Life in 2021, expect to see a good big man prospect in action in Moore for 2021.
Lucas Neuschwander, 6-1, 175, DL, 2022, Francis Howell North @LucasNeuschwan1
Neuschwander likely projects as an outside linebacker at the next level due to his size, but he plays with a big motor and is a hard worker. The Francis Howell North product showed a 24.6 inch vertical and a 96 mark in the broad jump, the Francis Howell North class of 2022 DL is on a mission this upcoming season to grab next level attention and has all the skills to do just that and more. A Second Team All-District selection and a player that will be in for a big time final season, Lucas is a player that can make big things happen and a player we like to be a big motor and high energy defender in 2021 for North.
Braydon Oxford, 6-2, 280, DL, 2022, Fort Zumwalt East @Braydonox
A very fine looking athlete, Oxford is a standout on both sides of the ball and has a projectable frame for an interior defensive lineman at 280 pounds. Showcasing a 23.6 inch vertical, Oxford is a good looking athlete also with a 92 in the broad jump very solid. A very hard hitter that can make ball carriers pay the price and at 280 pounds can really be a load to block in the middle, we like his power and toughness along with being a big time hitter, expect a monster final season from this 2022 class standout at Fort Zumwalt East.
Lathan Tate, 6-2, 290, DL, 2022, Collinsville (IL) @KingLathan57
Pure toughness and size make this Collinsville standout a major weapon to watch out for among Illinois big men, 6-2, 290 and a load to handle and a force in the heart of the lineup, we like Tate to be a major head turner in 2021 and a player that has a ton of potential to be a big time run stopper. Big things are in front of him, get him on the next level radar for sure.
Latrevion Thompson, 6-2, 205, DL, 2022, Kennett @LatrevionThomp1
Thompson had the top vertical among all DL and among the best at the 6Star Football STL Showcase with a wow mark of 36.2 inches and a 4.82 in the 40 yard dash, Thompson proved we he can be such a menace off the edge for the Kennett defense in the trenches. The Second Team All-State warrior on defense is a player thats eats ball carriers up in the middle and is one of the most impressive looking athletes in the SE part of Missouri, sky is the limit on potential and Central Missouri is among the teams paying big notice of Thompson’s game and skills.
Kylend Watson-Brown, 6-4, 265, DL, 2022, SLUH @KylendWatson
A big man that has some huge skills and should be a high prospect with a good 6-4, 265 pound frame, has both size and power and could really make some big time noise this upcoming 2021 season at SLUH. Also a standout on the offensive line, Watson-Brown is a player that can prove very tough to block, no doubt a player that loves to out physical the offense and his size makes him a very hard player to handle for blockers trying to keep him out of the backfield.
Maguire Wilson, 230, OL, 2022, Marshfield @maguirewilson25
With a 27 inch vertical no doubt Wilson was among the top OL at the 6Star Football Showcase in St. Louis, a major athlete and a offensive lineman that proved he is a hot prospect coming out of SW Missouri for the Marshfield program, Wilson also added impressive events with a 99 broad jump, and a 5.28 in the 40 yard dash. Watch out at the Jays have another impressive player coming up in their senior class in Wilson.
