The Northeast Florida region features several of the state’s top prospects at a variety of positions across the board. With the season underway, Six Star Football is taking an inside look at the prospects college programs are looking at this season.
Here, Six Star Football takes a look at several RB prospects to know in the 2021 class in the First Coast area.
Scooby Graham, 6’0, 185, RB, 2021, Baker County @ScoobyGraham
A shifty player who has a good frame and the power to force his way down the field. An up-the-middle threat who can punch a hole through interior lineman and shuffle his feet to avoid contact. He’s listed at 6’0, 185-pounds and can protect the ball and break away from tackles and even stiff arm safeties and jump over opponents looking to trip him up. A prospect who is flying under the radar and has the ability to make plays as a pass-catching running back as well. He shows speed and toughness and can use his blockers and or create his own path with his start-and-stop, slide-and-shift elusiveness under pressure.
Kaleb Killian, 5’10, 185, SB, 2021, Trinity @KalebKillian
Killian is a strong overall athlete who can see time in a variety of positions on both sides of the ball. He shows strong athleticism and a solid ceiling as an ATH. He can create with the ball in his hands and shows the ability to make plays as a rusher, a receiver and a DB as well. Killian also looks to make plays as a return man on special teams given his all-around ability to make things happen and find openings on the move. He looks to use his blockers and make intelligent plays but he has the athleticism needed to roll the dice when he bets on himself. A talented player with a strong skill set who continues to pick up offers. Recent offers include Western Kentucky, Navy, Air Force, Long Island University, Tusculum and Troy University to go along with a host of other offers he picked up in 2019 which include USF, Illinois, Georgia Southern and FIU to name a handful.
Tywuan Lee, 6’2, 200, RB, 2021, Hilliard @Tywuan7
A tall prospect who has good size, speed and the ability to break through defenses and get big gains and even score with ease. He has long strides and he runs hard and looks to run through opponents if he has to. He brings a lot of tools to the table and shows length and size as well as the creativity needed to make plays at the next level. He just knows how to find the end zone and can fake out opponents and avoid contact extremely well for his position. A pliable athlete who can really put up some serious numbers as a rusher and opposing teams game-plan specifically for him because of it. Lee holds offers from Notre Dame College, Findlay and Eastern Kentucky.
Martranius Mack, 5’7, 163, RB, 2021, Ribault @MartraniusMack
A muscular prospect for his frame and an underrated player at that. Some might look over his potential due to his size, but Mack has made a habit of proving those who bet against him wrong. A talented player at 5’7, 163-pounds who runs hard and looks to get around opponents and find space where he can turn on his speed. Also a standout basketball player, Mack is quick and explosive player who knows how to make plays with the ball in his hands. He currently holds offers from Ithaca, Columbia University and Edwards Waters College. He also has received some attention from other programs as well.
Jaison Patterson, 5’11, 195, RB, 2021, Ed White @Jaisonp5lyfe
A strong and impressive prospect who has a good frame and a great work ethic. He is a versatile player who understands his position, his skill set and he looks for openings and can make a lot happen with little room to breathe. Patterson is quicker than opponents think, even LBs who are used to him blowing past them straight up the middle of the field. He sets a tone for his team and he expects big things out of himself. Patterson can also see time as a safety as well, a versatile performer who is good at reading opposing teams and capitalizing in a big way. He holds offers from Illinois, Liberty, Campbell, Bowling Green, FIU, Long Island University, Middle Tennessee State and Georgia State.
