Platte County 2026 Rocco Marriott has emerged this spring as one of the state’s top young QB prospects and made that point on Sunday as he took home the FUTURES MVP of the second session of TheFINALS All-America Showcase held at Raymore-Peculiar High School.
At 6’3, 195-pounds, Marriott has the kind of size and frame that college programs look for in a prospect. Combine strong physical attributes with elite athleticism, a strong arm and a high football IQ, and you have a prospect that is already starting to turn heads. Marriott picked up his first NCAA Division I offer from UNLV in April and has since added an offer from Kent State. He is believed to be the only Missouri 2026 QB prospect to currently hold an offer.
Also a strong baseball prospect, Marriott says he has drawn early interest from Oregon, Kansas and several others as well.
“We’ve had several coaches come in to talk at school” he says. “I want to play D1 and that has been my goal since I was a kind — to be successful and always be working hard to achieve that.”
Marriott says his dad has had the biggest influence on his football career to date.
“He is always pushing me and making me better,” Marriott says.
Platte County is coming off a 5-6 season but has high expectations with several talented players returning, including fellow 2026 standout Jack Utz, who already holds several offers as well.
“Winning state is (the biggest goal) and we just want to have a successful season,” Marriott says.
