▪️  SIX STAR FOOTBALL SCOUTING REPORT Got some varsity run this season as a freshman playing behind a D1 senior. Threw for 125 yards in two games, completing 66 percent of his passes, including a TD, and rushed for 62 yards and a TD on ten carries. Had a strong performance for a freshman QB at the Midwest Showcase, turning in a 5.38 laser timed 40-yard dash, 94 inch broad jump and 25 inch vertical leap. 

▪️  ANALYSIS A talented young QB prospect who is terrific at scrambling around in the pocket and throw on the run, Newberry shows a high football IQ with good touch as a passer. He is terrific avoiding on-coming pressure, a key talent in Glendale’s no back sets and can scramble when plays break down. He is good at pre-snap reads for a youngster and can hit a variety of quick throws with accuracy. Has a short, compact throwing motion that allows him to get rid of the ball quickly.
