✅  SIX STAR FOOTBALL SCOUTING REPORT: A junior WR who operates primarily from the slot and also is a key speedster on coverage units with special teams who often times in the first man down the field to make a big tackle in kick off units for Grain Valley. McColguin does a lot for Grain Valley. The WR has a wide catch radius and can make big plays either in a short quick route then make big yards with his speed or be one of those off to the races deep threats who can really extend the field with a nice extra gear of speed down the field.  Eric shows good footwork and quickness in his release off the ball, with almost no wasted movement or hesitation. He displays solid mental processing, due to an ability to find space in zone coverage. When he has the ball in his hands he shows solid lateral agility and change of direction. In this air raid offense, expect McColguin to make a big jump in his senior season.

✅ ANALYSIS: Good athletic ability, possessing solid initial quickness, lateral agility, change of direction, and balance. Good release off the ball, possessing good footwork and foot speed with no wasted movement or hesitation. Solid hip fluidity and ability to stack the defender. Good mental processing to find the soft spot in zone coverage and sit down. Solid ability to navigate his blocking off screens, and get positive yards. Solid hands when catching the ball downfield, rarely body catching.

✅  GREATEST STRENGTHS: speed, good hands, total impact maker both at wideout and on special teams as a tackler down the field, mid-range and deep threat excellent route runner, good acceleration down the field.
