▪️ SIX STAR FOOTBALL SCOUTING REPORT A dual threat defensive edge prospect coming up in the 2027 class from Bernard Campbell, a player that will be looking to use his speed on the edge in the coming years to be a defender that will be looking for more experience and a player on the rise in his class in Kansas football. Recorded a 79 inch broad jump and 23 inch vertical leap in the combine portion of the Midwest Showcase, both solid numbers for a young defensive end.
▪️ ANALYSIS Young edge pass rusher with terrific upside. Gets a good burst off the snap. Works hard off the edge and uses his hands to fight off opposing offensive linemen effectively. Good quickness for a young player, runs well, can cover ground quickly. At 160-pounds, Maize has a long way to go size and strength wise to reach his potential. Shows a high football IQ for a young player. Competed well against older, more experienced offensive linemen in the competitive portions of the Midwest Showcase.
